Dr. and Mrs. Paul Kenneth Barker THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24, 1987. PAGE 15. Couple to reside in London BARKER-IVES A lovely spring wedding took place in Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth when Linda Ann Ives and Dr. Paul Kenneth Barker were united in marriage on Saturday, May 16 at 12 noon. Rev. Patt Nunn perform ed the ceremony and Dorothy Webster was the organist. The bride is the daughter of George and Ella Ives of Blyth and the groom, the son of Kenneth and Waltraunt Barker of Leeds, Eng land. The bride entered the church with her father and looked lovely in a floor-length dress of white satin and lace. She carried a cascade of yellow and white roses and ste- phanotis The matron of honour, Judy Sturdy of Goderich township, sister of the bride, wore a mint green tea-length dress of emboss ed taffeta. Bridesmaid, Sharon Cox of Goderich township, sister of the bride, wore a tea-length dress of lemon yellow embossed taffeta. Both carried bouquets of white roses and daisies. Flowergiri, SiobhanCox, nieceofthe bride, wore a floor-length dress of lemon yellow and carried a basket of yellow roses. Dr. James Crawford, friend of the groom, of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania was groomsman and guests were ushered by Andrew Ives of Blyth, brother of the bride, and Larry Sturdy, brother-in-law of the bride. Travis Sturdy, ringbear er and pages Jesse and Luke Sturdy, nephews of the bride, completed the wedding party. The male members of the wedding party wore light brown tweed suits. A reception was held in the Blyth Parish Hall followed by a garden party at the home of the bride’s parents. Guild studies humility The June meeting of Melville Guild was held in the church parlour with 20 members and friends present to hear Mrs. Elizabeth Jamieson interpret the scripture from I Samuel 18: 1-9. David and Jonathan made a covenant, shesaid, exchanging robes and weapons to symbolize their solemn promise toeach other. This was acted out by Leona The bride’s mother wore a dress of apricot rayon with a white gardenia corsage. The groom’s mother wore a rose suit with white accessories and a white gardenia corsage. For travelling, the bride chose a dress of green and white with a corsage of yellow roses. Following atriptoColorado, Mr. and Mrs. Barker will reside in London, Ontario. Guests were present from Leeds England, Pennsylvania, Windsor, Sarnia, London, Brus sels, Goderich, Blyth and sur rounding district. Armstrong and Donna Knight in a visual presentation. Members were urged to put on robes of humility and enter intoa convenant with Jesus expressing total com mitment.
