Lorenzo Ramirez [seated] his daughter Abigail, son John and wife Norma arrive in Blyth. Rev. Lorenzo succeeds Rev. Kenneth Bauman who moved to St. Thomas. UCWho/d camp at Menesetung A very amusing, but equally challenging skit based on the U.C.W. purpose highlighted the “camp-fire’ portion of the after noon programme, as about 100 women from Huron-Perth Presby- terial gathered for their annual “Campsite Experience” on June 15. The skit was written by Alma Langford, of Exeter, who was also one of the “Huron-Perth Thes pians’’, performing it. Others participating were Helen Ander son of Tavistock, Muriel Coultes of Belgrave, Phyllis Cox of Goderich, and Linda Hawley of Exeter. Women were asked, in this 25th anniversary year, to evaluate the activities of their own local groups. Coffee and cookies were waiting as the “campers’’ arrived, and Anna Keys of Varna began the day with a sing-song. Other parts of the day included typical camp activi ties - discussion groups meeting in the sunshine following the morn ing address on “Celebration” by Rev. Bonnie Lamble of Walton- Bluevale; and outdoor recreation in charge of Nancy Corrigan of Bluevale. Followingagenerous pot-luck lunch, a mock camp fire programme was conducted includ ing real camp songs, the skit, and finally a most inspirational com munion service conducted in the outdoor chapel by Miss Debbie Hoekstra of Exeter, and the Rev. Bonnie Lamble. The combination of an excellent programme and delightful location on the shore of Lake Huron easily banished the discomfort of the recent heatwave. It was a real celebration, thanks to the work of the planning committee - Jean A Blyth Christian Reformed Church HIGHWAY 4, BLYTH Rev.
