breeders visit
On Tuesday evening May 19 Mr.
and Mrs. Eldon Cook and Mr. and
Mrs. Greg Cook had a most
enjoyable surprise visit from Mr.
and Mrs. Robor Henning and Mr.
and Mrs. Hubot Kratz, Brown
Swiss Breeders, from the Bavarian
region of West Germany.
The visitors were interested in
looking at the Cook’s cattle, asking
about Canadian breeding lines and
comparing German Swiss with
Canadian Swiss. They use several
American blood lines as do the
Cook’s.
It was a most interesting evening
comparing farming practises near
the AlpsintheBavarian region,
complete with snap shots, breed
brochures, etc.

Lucknow area farmer. Students
were given a chance to try their
hands at spinning, weaving, stitch
