Elva Warwick dies in Wingham Auburn woman dies at age 85 elva McIntosh WARWICK Elva McIntosh Warwick of Thomas St., Brussels, died in the Wingham and District Hospital on April 27,1987. She was 82 years of age. The former Elva Oliver, she was born in Brussels. She was a registered nurse. She married Robert Stuart Warwick who prede ceased her in 1962. She is survived by two daugh ters, Juneof Goderich and Margar et of Kitchener. One brother, Milton Oliver predeceased her in 1954. The funeral service was held on April 29, from the Brussels Chapel oftheM. L. Watts Funeral Homes. Rev. Victor Jamieson of Melville Presbyterian Church was in charge of the ceremony. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery. Operated service station at 'Pitcher's Corners' ADRIANA JOHANNA BAKELAAR Mrs. Adriana Bakelaar from Auburn died on April 25, 1987 at the age of 85. Mrs. Bakelaar was born and educated in Den Brom- mel, Holland and married Jan CornelisBakelaar. They moved into this area in 1950. Adriana Bakelaar is survived by nine sons. William of Clinton, Peter of Mitchell, Adrin of Pentic ton, B.C., Jim of Belgrave, John of Uxbridge, Jake of Cambridge, Cor of Keene, Len of Teeswater and Hans of Auburn. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and one brother in Holland. She is prede ceased by one grandson, John. She belonged to the Blyth Christian Reformed Church. Though she was unable to attend the services during the last few years, her love and devotion for God and the church remained strong. She received cassettes of the sermons that she listened to at home. Mrs. Bakelaar enjoyed life to the fullest and was often visited by those who loved her at her home. The funeral service was held on April 28 at two at Ball’s Cemetery in Auburn. Reverend Roger Gel wicks of the Christian Reformed Church conducted the service and Rudy, Conrad, Donald, David, Mike Bakelaar and David Davies were pallbearers. JACK W. PITCHER Jack William Pitcher, 75, died in Listowel on April 24. Born in Toronto on March 30, 1912, he was the son of the late Reece and Anna Pitcher. He is survived by his wife, the former Alma Fitch, whom he married on Nov. 8, 1941 at Salem Church. The couple lived in Toronto until 1950, when they moved to Pitch- er’sCorners.atRR 1, Bluevale. They lived in Listowel from 1977 to the present. ThelateMr. Pitcheroperated the service station and store at Pitcher’s Corners for 27 years. He was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church. The funeral was held at the Kevin E. Brown Funeral Home. Listowel, at 2:30 p.m. on April 26, with Rev. Vern Tozer officiating. Interment followed in Wroxeter Cemetery.
