One purpose for education weeks is to encourage the parents and com munity to come to the school. This year education week was April 27 - May 1. In our school there was a talent show on Monday, an Open House on Tuesday evening, kindergarten registration on Wednesday and a trip to the Stratford Music Festival for Grades five and six on Thursday. On Thursday, the grade 6 class sang at the Callander Nursing Home in Brussels and on Friday some students from grades seven and eight competed in Stratford. We hope everyone enjoyed the talent show. We know everyone who was in the talent show enjoyed displaying their talents. We would like to thank everyone who came to the open house and helped make it a success. We wish all the students the best of luck in their efforts in singing in Stratford. Well, the 1987-88 kindergarten students re gistered for school on April 29. The testing began at 9:30 and went on until 2:30. They had hearing tests and seeing tests, and some may have required needles. After testing, the students were introduced to their teacher and shown their new room. All in all, it was an exciting day forthe future kindergarten stu dents of Grey Central School.
