An opening poem asked the question “What Is Easter" and answered in a variety of ways from flowers and Easter eggs to the Empty Tomb. Following the singing of “There Is A Green Hill Far Away", Wilma Hemingway led in prayer and Marguerite read from the Good News Bible the story of Jesus appearing to His disciples, John 20: 19-29. In her Easter Message Marguerite told of the events of Holy Week including Gethse­ mane, Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday as written by Bruce Miles. Helen Elliott accom­ panied the singing of the second hymn “Beneath The Cross of Jesus" at the piano. Jean Bewley as presideni con­ ducted the business. Plans for serving a wedding supper and the dinner for the May Presbyterial of the W.M.S. were discussed. The May Time Supper is coming up on the last Wednesday in May - that is May 27th. Everyone is invited. The Auburn Ladies Broomball team, sponsored by Andre Delbergue, were runners-up in the 1986-87 “B" division of the Blyth Ladies League.
