Ken Cucksey elected Blyth Lions president The Blyth Lions Club held their regular meeting at the Blyth Memorial Hall on Thursday, April 23. Twenty-two Lions were in attendance. Nominationsand elec­ tions were held for the 1987-88 Executive. The new executive takes office on July 1,1987 for a one-year term. The Blyth Lions will be holding a 50’sand 60’sdance on the arena floor on Saturday, June 27 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The next meeting of the Blyth Lions Club will be Thursday, May 14 at the Lions Park. People Eleven tables were in play at the weekly euchre party at Memorial Hallon April 20. Ella Richmond was the high lady while Vi Howes, showed the men how to do it taking top prize while playing as a man. June Fothergill was the low lady while Ted Mills was low man. Clara Rinn and Ted Fothergill had the most lone hands. Verna Glazier won the special prize. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Snell spent the Easter weekend with their daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson, Kari and Kurt of London and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Timpany, Dean and Deneen of Aylmer. Millar Richmond and Dorothy Daer had the top scores among the nine tables of Lost Heir players playing Wednesday night at Mem­ orial Hall. Mary Holland and Edgar Howatt had the low scores.
