The Brussels Playschool held
an Easter Draw for the children.
Third prize was won by Magan
Bragg, one stuffed bunny and five
silver dollars. Second prize was
won by Carol Hunt of RR 4,
Walton, one stuffed bunny and 10
silver dollars. First prize was won
by Laura Dickson, one stuffed
bunny and 20 silver dollars. The
playschool would like to thank
everyone for their support.
Easter visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Mutter and family were
Mr. and Mrs. Garry Chambers of
Wroxeter and Mr. and Mrs.
George Mutter of Listowel.
Mrs. Ann Ward and Julie of

Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Higgins , Dennis and Ronald in
Blyth on Sunday.
Gerald and Chad Rutledge of
Stratford visited from Thursday
until Sunday with his parents Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Rutledge then all
enjoyed supper with Mr. John
Rutledge of Blyth. They have since
returned home. Doreen’s sister
Bruce McCall, left, was one of the civic officials on hand to
explain his role in the community as Brussels’ representative
to the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority at the village’s
annual Ratepayers’ Meeting held last week in recognition of

Nicki Gropp of Brussels was
the prize winner in Barbara
Brown’s “Guess the Bunnies’
Names” contest, guessing “Snow
White” as the correct name of the
white Angora rabbit in the Yam
Shop’s window. More than 60
children entered the contest, but
nobody guessed “Whiskers,” the
name of the brown bunny. Sherri
Heuther and Janice Jacklin helped
tabulate the ballots.
