Brussels sees premium prices on cattle The market at Brussels Stock- yards met a strong demand with premium prices on choice cattle. A good supply of feeder pigs sold higher. There were 1037 cattle and 935 pigs on offer. Choice steers sold from $86 to $91 with a sale to $100 per hundred weight. Good steers were $82 to $86. A steer consigned by Bluemont FarmsofRR 1, Bright weighing 1060 lbs. sold for $1.00 per lb. with their offering of 23 steers averag­ ing 1197 lbs. selling for an overall price of $90.65 per hwt. Six steers consigned by Ed Michiels of RR 1, Sebringville averaging 1118 lbs. sold for an overall price of $92.34 with a sale to $96.50. Thirteen steers consigned by Stam Farm of RR 4, Kincardine averaging 1198 lbs. sold for an overall price of $89.78 with sales to $95.25. Thirty to 40 lb. pigs traded to a high of $1.43 per lb.; 40 to 50 lb. pigs to a high of $1.32; 50 to 60 lb. pigs to a high of $1.16; 60 to 70 lb. pigs to a high of $1.14; 70 to 80 lb. pigs to a high of $1.05 per lb.
