A gala fashion show, aptly named “A Splash of Spring,” will be held at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre on April 23, starting at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by the Brussels Figure Skating Club, the two-hour show will feature all Brussels models, and will consist entirely of fashions from the four Brussels clothing stores. “We’re really pushing Brussels in all of this ” said Debbie Seili, co-chairman of the event and treasurer of the local skating club. The proceeds from the event will be split, with part of it going to buy ice time for skaters next winter, and part going in to the coffers of the Homecoming on July 3-5, which is sponsored by the whole commun ity. Mrs. Seili says that the models will range from a two-year-old to several grandmothers, and fashion will feature everything from togs for tots to what the well-dressed wedding guest will wear. Gerry Wheeler and Wayne Lowe, chair man and vice-chairman of the Homecoming respectively, will host the fashion show, while Karla King and Helen Craig will offer the commentary. The $5 admission to the event is by advance sale only, and organi zers anticipate an early sell-out on tickets. The price includes a lunch and social hour following the show, while more than 40 door prizes will be drawn throughout the evening. Tickets are available at Some- Thing Special, Ken’s Men’s and Boy’s Wear, Brussels 5-S1.00 Store, Young’s Clothing and Foot wear and Todd’s Bakery, or from any member of the executive of the skating club or the Homecoming committee.
