Valentine ceremony for Joyce Pearson A romantic dream came true on Valentine’s Day Feb. 14, 1987 when Joyce Edna Pearson and Neil David McLean exchanged their wedding vows. They met three years ago on this special day. The weddingtookplace in the Metropolitan United Church, Lon­ don at 5 p.m. Rev. Reid Vipond, cousin of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony, which was solemnized amid a setting of red and white roses and candelabra. Organistwas Mr. H. Alex Clark, BA. A. Mus. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, Brussels and the groom is the son of Mrs. Ruby McLean and the late Douglas McLean of Ailsa Craig. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in an ivory, satin gown with sweetheart neck­ line, long sleeves and chapel train. A beaded, pear head-band with tear-drop head-piece framed her face. Her fingertip veil of french illusion consisted of afrench pouffe at the back of her head. The headpiece was designed for the bride by Elda of Sophie’s of London. She wore a string of pearls, gift of the groom and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses and baby’s breath. Mrs. Sharon Dalton of Londes- boro was Matron of honour. Miss Jill Smith of Owen Sound, niece of the bride, was Junior bridesmaid. Both of these attendants wore identical gowns of red satin. Miss Janine Smith of Owen Sound, niece of the bride and Miss Meghan McLean of London, niece of the groom, sang the solo “Happy Birthday to Joyce’’, wear­ ing identical gowns of ivory satin. All attendants carried sprays of red and white roses. David Colquhoun of Corunna was best man. Mr. Randy McLean of Strathroy, nephew of the groom, was Senior usher. Mark Procter of London, nephew of the bride, was Junior usher. Marshall McLean, nephew of the groom, was Junior usher. Following the wedding a recep­ tion and dinner was held at the Berkshire Club, London. The bride ’ s mother chose a gown of irridescent green silk with matching accessories and wore a corsage of white roses. The groom’s mother chose a gown of softblue crepe with a corsage of pink roses. For travelling, the bride wore an emerald green suit, matching accessories with a corsage of white roses. Mr. and Mrs. McLean are residing at 633 Lome Ave., London, Ont.
