to make a start on their first
$25,000.
The first thing they learned -
very rapidly, using a little arithme
tic - was that they would have to
produce enough worms to be able
to sell one million of the wee
wrigglers every year to get that sort
ofpayoff, a bit more ambitious a
plan than they could entertain with
12 pails of breeder worms.
But nothing daunted, they set
out on the adventure. And as Barb
says, with the money they have
invested (less than $4,000), they
could not have got into any other
sort of business, and they still feel
thatthe venture will pay offin time.
.Basically, raising worms sounds
simple. As long as they are fed
properly and kept at a constant
temperature and humidity, each
pail of 50 “'breeders” should
