The Blyth Minor Sports Associa­ tion served a roast beef supper to 21 Lions and three guests. District A9 Sight Conservation Chairman, Allan Manto from the Hanover Lions Club was present to explain the functions of Lake Joseph Camp for the blind which is located near Parry Sound. He was presented with a $ 100 cheque from the Blyth Lions Club to go towards the camp, as well as 80 pair of used eye glasses which the Lions collected from the area. The Blyth Lions Club hosted their 16th annual Novice Hockey Tournament on Saturday, March 14. Eight teams took part including two from Blyth. Clifford won the ‘A’ Division championship with a 2 to 1 victory over Ripley. Lucknow won the *B’ Division championship with a 3 to 2 victory over Brussels. The Blyth Lions Club paid the registration fees for the two Blyth teams. The Blyth and Londesboro Lions clubs Vegas Night will beheld on Saturday, April 4 at the Blyth and District Community Centre. Tick­ ets are $5 per person and are available from any Lions member. The winners of the Lions Satur­ day night hockey draws were Dean Hackwell on March 7 and Pauline Stewart on March 14. The next meeting of the Blyth Lions Club will be Thursday, March 26. This meeting will be the Lions annual spring Ladies Night. Lucknow defeated Brussels to take the consolation trophy at the Blyth Little Lions Novice tournament Saturday. Don Stewart presents the trophy to Stewart Draper, David Adams and Billy Draper. Clifford captured the championship trophy at the Blyth Little Lions Novice tournament Saturday. Receiving the trophy from Don Stewart is Adam Weber. _
