Ray Stewart visited with Eva and Oliver Stewart. Marion Lether- land, Frank Dunn, Gerrie Grob­ bink and Audrey Seaton all visited at the Huron Day Centre for the Homebound for the day. Wages are only one of 16 items which remained unresolved be­ tween the two parties in mid-Janu­ ary when Mr. Fleet was appointed, despite the appointment late last year of a provincial fact-finder to assist both sides in reaching an agreement. The teachers are seeking a salary grid increase of six per cent, which would bring the top salary for a teacher to $48,124, while the Board is offering a two-year package which would bring the top salary to $47,436 by the end of the year. Other issues which remained unresolved as the process went into mediation were allowances for acting principals and vice princi­ pals, changes to the employee’s benefit plan, allowances for expec­ tant mothers, early retirement incentives, staffing formula and an ‘affirmative action procedure.
