'Surviving with Style'
course starts
The first meeting of the Brussels
1, “Surviving with Style” 4-H club
was held at the home of Barb
Graber on Wednesday, January
28. Twelve members were in
attendance.
The meeting was opened with
the 4-H Pledge. The election of
officers was then held. Lara Parker

and very pleasant bus driver. Mary
was able to get in touch with Dr.
Jim Shalom, who had practised in
this vicinity, and who is now
working on a kibbutz near Safed.
All in all, a most memorable
moving experience.
Friends and relatives are sorry to
hear Mr. Baeker a former resident
of Brussels has been admitted to
Joseph Brant Hospital in Burling
ton with pneumonia. We wish him
a speedy recovery.

programs of Amnesty Internation
al which is concerned with human
rights around the world both in
western and communist countries.
He will explain how people locally
can help influence world affairs by
such things as becoming involved
in the “Urgent Action Network”
which has thousands of people
write letters to help save the lives of
people who maybe facing death
sentences or get people released
from prison who have been
imprisoned unjustly.
