Entertainment Theatre offers price break People who are quick off the mark and see plays at the Blyth Festival between opening night and July 11 will get a price break, the theatre has announced. Until July 11, tickets will sell for $8 for weeknights and $10.50 for Saturday nights. For the remain­ der of the season the prices will be $9 for weeknights and $11 for Saturday nights. The deal is will remain at only $3.00. This month the grade 8 students are selecting their courses for their first year at high school. To help them make their choices, a tour of classrooms and a presentation by the Guidance Counsellor and Principal will be held at both the Wingham and Clinton Schools. The Parent-Student Orientation Night for C.H.S.S. will be held this Wednesday, January 28. Parents and students already attended a special night at F. E. Madill. Hopefully with this help, the correct eight courses will be chosen. jjThe Blyth girls won the first game against St. Mary’s Goderich, lost their second game against Clinton Christian and won their play-off game against St. Mary’s. This put them in third place overall. Holmesville Public School plac­ ed second and Clinton Christian placed first. The members of the Blyth team were Tamara Bearss, Leah Rich­ mond, Tabatha Montgomery, Rhonda Stadelmann, Laurie Wharton, Donna Lynn Armstrong, Heidi Scrimgeour, Julie Bromley and Tammi Medd. Their coach is Mr. G. Yeats. BY STEPHANIE LENTZ AND CHRYSTALCUCKSEY On Friday, January 23, Blyth School was cancelled because of the storm. We have interviewed five people about what they did on the day of the storm. LEE ANN RILEY I watched T. V. I went outside and made snowmen. I went sledding on total ice. Then I stayed in and coloured in the new colouring books I got for Christmas and also played with my toys. TONY RICHMOND I went outside and threw snowballs atmy sister and went sledding. 1 coloured in the colour­ ing books I got for Christmas and I watched T.V. ZOEYONN I stayed inside watching T.V., I coloured, roller skated on the floor, and went outside toboganning. SHAWN A WALKER I helped Mom shovel, played outside, went tobogganing, then went inside and drank hot choco­ late. Then 1 played with my toys. CRAIG EMPEY I stayed inside and watched T.V. and slept most of the day because I was sick. VOLLEYBALL AT BELGRAVE BY SARAH ALLAN On Thursday, January 22, the Blyth girls’ volleyball team was invited to play at East Wawanosh Public School. Blyth won five games out of five. Girls’ Volleyball Team played in an invitational tournament involving six teams at St. Joseph’s School in Clinton.
