Brussels’ Junior “D” Hockey Club, the Brussels Bulls, has acquired a classic automobile which will be restored and raffled off during the village’s 115th Birthday and Homecoming Cele bration next July. The 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible was discovered in Owen Sound, and is presently undergoing some body work at McNeil’s Auto Body in Brussels, from which it will emerge the same tone of mid-blue as it was originally, and in excellent running order. Dave Hastings, parade chair man of the four-day July event, says the car will be worth about $5,500 when finished, and that only 2,100 tickets will be printed, to sell at one for $10, or three for $20. Tickets will go on sale shortly, and will be available from any of the Brussels Bulls or member of the Junior “D” executive. The draw will take place on July 5, the final day of the celebration. All proceeds will go toward the hockey club’s operating expenses, with “something toward the new sewers at the arena’’ as well, according to Mr. Hastings.
