vak.ation back "home" in Ripley.
They were with his mother Mrs.
Mynnie Wyld at Huron Villa and
with Nora and Niels Frederiksen in
Ripley and at the farm on
concession 6 west. His mother
returned with them and they are
presently vacationing at their
cottage at Cesarea.

Reeve of Ripley, will officially open
the Huron Bruce Arts and Crafts
Festival at the complex this Friday

Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Culbert
and their foster children have just
returned from a two and a half
•;, week trip to the East Coast of
Canada. A couple of highlights of
their trip were the crossing to
Prince Edward Island and attend-
ing a wedding in Nova Scotia. They
travelled on the ferry boat Princess
of Acadia and when they returned
home and were listening to the
CKNX news on Saturday evening
they heard that it ha& just been
-high jacked by members of a
motorcycle gang since their pas-
sages on it.
This boat holds 650 passengers
and 159 vehicles including cars,,
campers, busses and trucks. It
travels from Digby, Nova Scotia to
St. John, New Brunswick, b
distance of 49 miles in two and a
half hours.

held July 18 to 22 at Knox
Presbyterian and St. Andrews
United Churches. Fifty-two child-
ren were enrolled and 30 of these
had perfect attendance during the
week. The theme was "Sing it out!
Jesus loves you”.
' Rev. Hugh Nugent served as the
director, and Joan MacKay and
Cathy Nugent assisted daily with
the music. The other teachers and
leaders were Nancy Greenwood,
Janet Rhody, Jewel Stanley, Betty
Paquette. Heather and Nancy
MacDonald, Wilma Sutton, Susan
Cliffe. Harvey and Marlene Evans,
June Elliott. Irene Boyle and
Dianne MacKay. The Youth Class.

A program and open house was
held on Friday evening at St.
Andrew's United Church, when
the children and leaders had the
opportunity to share with ./parents
and friends some of the things
which they had most enjoyed in the
course of the week.
