Mr. and Mrs. Earl Elliott and Ian
were Sunday guests of Mrs.
Marretta Hodgins.
Earl Elliott visited on Friday with
his brothers Ray and Everett Elliott
in Detroit.
Miss Bonnie Boyle spent" last
week in London.
Ripley Vacation Bible School was
held last week with a very
successful outcoming. It was esti-
mated that about 60 students took
part. Those volunteer teachers
from this area were Wilma Sutton,
Janet Rhody, June Elliott, Irene
Boyle, and Dianne McKay.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thompson
accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Don
Reid on a trip to Cape Cod and
Plymouth Rock for holidays. They
left on July 14 and made the return
trip on the 19th, reporting a
wonderful time. Robbie and Todd
Thompson visited with their grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Thompson while their parents were
away.
Recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Vic Gawley were Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Craigie of Kincardine
and Miss Jean Tetty and her sister
of Los Angeles Calif. who were on a
tour of Canada. Also Mr. Robert
Grieve of Sudbury spent a few days
last week with the Gawley's.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Boyle and family were°
Mrs. Bessie Farrell and boys, Mrs.
Ed Farrell of Kincardine and Miss
Jo Ann VanDiepen.
The Women's Institute held their
Hobo Meeting on Wednesday at
the Community Centre. Hostesses
for the meeting were Mrs. Marion
Emerson and Mrs. Wanda Gawley.
Frank and Susie Emerson and
Kelly Helm spent one day last week
with Mr. and Mrs. George Emer-
son.
Mr. and Mrs. Burton Collins are
on holidays in the Western
Provincts for the next week. The
Collins left on Tuesday and spent
Tuesday night at Sault Ste. Marie
with Cathy and Vicki Dore and
planned on being in Winnipeg
early on Friday. They plan on
travelling to Regina to visit with
Kay's aunt. Mrs. Don Dore made

Dore returned home on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald, Forster
returned to their home after
spending a few weeks in the west
with relatives.
Wishes for a speedy recovery are
extended to Cecil Sutton, who is a
patient in Owen Sound Hospital.
Cecil was admitted on Thursday
and had surgery on his knee
Friday. It is hoped he will soon be
• home.
