Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Mon-
day, July 25th, in his 89th year.
The funeral service will be held
at MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow, on Thursday, July 28th at
2 p.m. •
Interment will be in Greenhill
Cemetery.

The Ontario Ministry of Housing has made available funds
to the Township of Huron to provide assistance to Owner-occu-
pants to repair faulty structural and sanitary conditions and to
upgrade the plumbing, heating and electrical systems.
Homeowners are eligible for assistance under the program,
by way of forgiveable or low interest repayable loans or both.
Funds are available to homeowners' whose adjusted
family income does not exceed $12,500.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Edmondson
and girls of Chatham visited on

Mr.' and Mrs. Robert Voll of St
Clements visited last weekend with
Brother Carl Voll.
Mr. and Mrs. Neill Kraemer of
Sault Ste. Marie and Mr. and Mrs.
Ed O'Grady of Listowel visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Frayne and
family on the weekend.
The annual Parish Picnic a was
held at the Ashfield Park on
Sunday afternoon,, July 24th.
Games for all ages were enjoyed
such as hofseshoe, baseball, shoe
finding and the egg throwirig
contests. Mrs. Maithel Wilson,
retiring Grade 8 teacher at , St.
Joseph's School, Kingsbridge was
presented with an oil painting. Mr.
Eugene Frayne thanked her for all
she had done and the presentation
was made by Mrs. Mark Dalton.
Gifts of ice cream and gum and
candies were given to all the
children with special prizes given
to all those winning the different
contests. Picnic lunch was enjoyed
with hamburgers, hot dogs, coffee,
soft drinks and ice cream available
for cost price.
Leroy Drennan, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Drennan and Wayne
Courtney. son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Courtney. left for a holiday trip to
the Western Provinces on Monday,
July 25th.
Ben Miltenburg and his cousin
from Sudbury returned to his home
on Friday. July 22nd following 'a
three week holiday to the West
Coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Brian Courtney
returned to their home in Edson,
Alberta on Monday, July 25th.
They have been visiting at the
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Courtney and family.
Miss Joanne Marsman and her
niece Miss Herna Miltenburg of
Holland arrived on Friday, July 22
to spend 3 weeks vacation with her
sister, Mrs. Reis Miltenburg. Mr.
Miltenburg and family and with her
brother Arnold Marsman in London
and other relatives in Montreal.
Misses Nolda and Janet DeBruyn
of Sudbury are vacationing with
their aunt Mrs. Reis Miltenburg,
Mr. Miltenburg and family.
KINGSBRIDGE
This area was shacked to hear of
the sudden• passing of Jim Foran,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Foran
of St. Augustine on Saturday, July
23 due to a farm accident. Jim was
in his 17th year and was a student
at the Goderich and District
Collegiate Institute. His body
rested at his home until Wednes-
day morning, July 27. Funeral
Mass will be celebrated in the St.
Augustine Roman Catholic Church
at 10.30 a.m. Burial will be in the
adjoining cemetery. Sincere sym-
pathy is offered to the family and
relatives.
Sincere sympathy of this com-
munity is extended to Mrs. Betty
Frayne, Mr. Frayne and members
of their family on, the death of
Betty's mother, Mrs. Mary Krae-
mer of Listowel on Sunday, July
24th. Her funeral will be held on
Wednesday, July 27th at 10 a.m.
Sympathy is also extended to the
relatives and friends of Mr. Jack
McDonagh of Lucknow who passed
away on Thursday, July 21st while
on vacation.
Over 300 persons enjoyed the
pork barbeque held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Courtney on
Saturday, July 23. °
Mrs. Clifton Austin of Toronto
arrived on Thursday. July 21 and
spending holidays with Mrs. Gil-
bert Frayne.
Mr. and Mrs. Derk Logtenbug
and family attended the wedding of
her niece at Langside on Friday,
July 22 and the reception held in
Wingham.
Joe Judge, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Judge and Larry Williams
of Jackson, Michigan spent the
weekend at the home of Mr.' and
Mrs. Joe Courtney and family and
attended the Pork Barbeque on
Saturday evening.
Congratulations to Janice Maur-
een Foran, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John Foran and to Gerald
Edward Bowland, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Reginald Bowland of Chap-
lean, who were married on
Saturday, July 16th in the St.
Augustine Roman Catholic Church
at 4 p.m. Several from this area
attended the reception.
