Names were chosen to send in for
Awards for Bruce County program.
A contest guessing whose name
was pinned on your shoulder,
people and places, was entertain-
ing. Mrs. Virdin Mowbray gave a
report on the 80th anniversary, year
of the Women's Institute move-
ment in Ontario, held in Bingeman
Park Lodge, Kitchener. Mrs. Bob
Gilchrist read a poem, "Take
Time". The courtesies were by
Mrs. Clarence Ritchie.
The meeting closed with the
singing of Q Canada and the
"Friendship" and a welcome to all Institute Grace. Refreshments
members and visitors. The Ode were served by the hostess
was sung and the Mary Stewart directors, Mrs. Jack Needham
Collect repeated. The roll call was Mrs. Jim Burt.

Martin will speak next Sunday
evening at the Drive-in service.
The musical group, "The Ray of
Truth" from Elmira will provide
music for the service.,

APPOINTED TO
HURON COUNTY
Miss Beatrice, McClenaghan,
B.H. Ec., has been appointed home
economist for Huron County with
an assistant, Miss Grace Bird, B.A.
Sc., a recent graduate of Guelph
University. Miss McClenaghan,
who spent the past four years as
home economist in Ontario and
York Counties is the daughter of
Rev. C. and Mrs. McClenaghan,
presently of Paisley. but who
formerly served on the Dungannon-
Nile charge.
Sympathy of the community is
extended to the McNee family on
the death of Mr. Ross McNee in
Goderich Hospital on July 20 in his
94th year. The funeral took, place
from Stiles Funeral Home to
Colborne Cemetery on Saturday,
July 23.
Sympathy also to the family of
Mrs. Helen Marie Noble of St.
Augustine, who passed away in
Wingham General Hospital on July
19. The funeral was held on Friday
from Beattie Funeral Home in
Clinton to Clipperton Cemetery;
East Nissouri Township.
Sympathy goes out to the family
of James Foran, 16, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Foran,' who was killed
on Saturday when a tractor rolled
on him.
Matthew and Andrew Ott of
Kitchener spent last week with
their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Irvine Eedy. On Sunday Irvine and
Colleen returned the boys to their
parents at their cottage at Port
Elgin.
Miss Grace Westhaver-, Miss
Diane Leeyong. and Mr. Jeff
Vigilante, all of London, spent last
weekend camping at Point Farms
and visited Grace's parents here,
Rev. C. G. and Mrs. Westhaver.
Misses Grace and Carol Westhaver
visited their parents this weekend.
Mrs. Ruth Austin of Toronto is
spending this week with her
mother, Mrs. Mary Bere.
Mrs. Bessie 'McNee and Mrs.
Mary Bere called on their aunt,
Mrs. Gertrude Bell in Huronview
on Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Finnigan
called on Mr. Herb Finnigan on
Sunday , evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Brouillette
moved from Dungannon to their
new home in Tweed on Saturday.
Rev. Clyde Westhaver spoke on
Summer Sale

morning service in Dungannon
United Church. He thanked Mrs.
Gordon Finnigan of Goderich who
was organist for the day. Flowers
were placed in the church in
memory of Mr. Ross McNee,
whose funeral took place on
Saturday. Next Sunday, July 31,
will be the minister's last Sunday
before vacation in August. Come
out to church on Sunday morning
and bring a friend.
"It was Family Camp-out Week-
end for the Dungannon Christian
Fellowship Church and everyone
had a great time. Camp was set up
on Friday evening at Point Farms
Provincial Park and the outing
ended with the annual Sunday
School Picnic on Sunday afternoon.
The theme for the weekend was
"The ,Community of God's
People". Student Pastor Doug
Zehr shared devotional talks at the
campfires both evenings on the
weekend there. Everyone enjoyed
the fellowship and games and the
Young People spent a lot of time in

A community bridal shower was
held in the basement of Dungannon
United Church on Monday evening
in honour of Miss Donna Sue
Errington,.bride-to-be. Miss Marie
Boyle was chairlady for the
program, which included a musical
number by Lila and Annabelle
SteWart accompanied by Elaine
Stewart at the piano; a contest by
Donna Alton; a musical number by
the Stapleton sisters; a solo by
Marie Boyle, who sang two songs
composed by herself and accom-
panied herself on the guitar. A
contest, What a Bride is Made Qf,
was given to each person on arrival
and when the guests were gather-
ed, Mrs. Gwen Caesar took it up
and gave the answers. 'As Elaine
Stewart played the • Wedding
March, the bride was escorted to
her place at the front by, Cathy ;
Simpson, Jan Caesar and Debbie I
Elsom. The address was read by
Frances Logtenburg. The gifts
were brought in on a 'decorated
wagon by Sherry and Tanya
Hodges, Dennis and Dana Park and
Angela and Arleta Glenn.
Donna Sue made a gracious
reply, thanking those who had
given the gifts and those who had
planned the shower and inviting all
to her trousseau tea on Saturday.
