The 1977 ' Blake. Reunion was
held on Sunday. July 10 in
Stratford Park with 55 in attend-
ance.
Following a very lovely lunch,
everyone joined in an exciting
game of baseball. This went very
well despite the sun's penetrating
rays of heat.
Moving onward, the Johnstone
Boys led some exciting and
-fun-filled games; candy guess went
to Murray Morrison with Ill;
races, preschoolers. Karen Web-
ster, Jodi Webster, Jeanie Webst-
er; 12 years and under went to
Darilyn Angle, Deidre Angle,
Steven Alton: young ladies were
Coralynn Henderson, Denise Barn-
es: young men were Doug Aitchi-
son, Barry Morrison and Allan
Barnes;3 legged race, 12 and under
was won by* Darilyn Angle and
Deidre Angle followed closely by
Steven Alton and Carl Morrison
with Kay Morrison and Kevin
Webster; 3 legged, 12 and over,
was taken by Roger and Ralph
Morrison, Sivart Alton and Lloyd
Morrison, Coralynn Henderson and
Barry Morrison; next the 14 and
under wheelbarrow race. Kay
Morrison and. Kevin Webster:
Darilyn and Deidre Angle. Steven
Alton and Karl Morrison; 14 and
over wheelbarrow race, Doug,
Aitchison and Jim Pentland,
Stuart Alton and Lloyd Morrison:
14 and under kick the slipper, Karl
Morrison, Darilyn Angle and
Deidre Angle; ladies (young) kick ,
the slipper. Coralynn Henderson,
Nancy Ritchie followed by Eliza-
beth Ritchie; young men kick the
slipper, Murray Morrison. Glen
Webster and Doug Aitchison;
ladies kick the slipper, Karen ,
Webster, Denise , Barnes: and
Matilda Johnston; men's kick the
slipper, Blake Alton, Doug Angle
and Harold Webster.
Relays: orange under the chin
was won by Elizabeth Ritchie's
team; egg on the spoon won by
Doug Aitchison's team; balloon full
of water throw went to Ralph and
Roger Morrison; toothpick And life
saver won by Doug Aitchison's
team.
This was followed by a candy
scramble, then down to supper.
After a heartily enjoyed meal,
Howard Blake led the business
meeting with Nancy Ritchie read-
ing minutes. moved by Marilyn
Johnston and seconded by Berna-
deen Ritchie. The treasurer's
report follo‘lved, moved by Harold
Webster. seconded by Matilda
Johnston.
Election of officers were as
follows: president. Glen Webster;
vice president. Gordon Morrsion;
secretary-treasurer. Bernice Blake
and sports. the Morrison Boys.
It was decided in 1978 the Blake
Reunion would be held on the
second Sunday in July.
The loafer always finds an
open season for killing time.
