Listowel, Mr. and Mrs. Mack
Cardiff of Brussels, who were also
celebrating a 30th wedding anni-
versary.
Attending the shower on Satur-
day evening held in Teeswater for
Miss Ann Sande from this com-
munity were Mrs. Wesley Tiffin,
Mrs. Fred Tiffin, Mrs. Tom
Davidson and Mrs. Hugh Simpson.

of Chalmer's Church will be held ,

ion on Sunday held at the home of
John Moffat and also 'visited with

On Sunday afternoon Mrs.
Arnold Mathers of Exeter held a
relative shower in their gaily
decorated yard for Janet Gaunt,
bride-to-be. While the ladies
attended the shower the men
visited at Centralia with Jim Gaunt.
Among the relatives attending
were Mrs. John Gaunt, Mrs. Don
Ross, Mrs. Russel Gaunt, Mrs. Mel
Mathers, Mrs. Charles Mathers.
Among the variety of gifts were
electric iron, fry pan, bun warmer.
Lunch was served by the hostess,
Mrs. Arnold Mathers.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Emerson,
Darlane, Sharon and Brenda of St.
Catharines spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson.

leave Wingham Hospital and go to

On Monday evening a very
successful sale with a large crowd
in attendance was held at the home
of Mrs. Earl Caslick.
Bill Kennedy of Toronto, while
on holidays, was a recent caller on
Miss Annie Kennedy of Wingham.
Jack Kennedy of Hamilton is
holidaying with his parents Mr.
and Mrs. George Kennedy and
assisting with haying operations.

Mrs. Annie Irwin of Mitchell
returned home last week from
Stratford Hospital, where she had
been a patient for a few weeks.

On Sunday, July 10 the sacra-
ment. of Holy Baptism was admin-

This community was shocked to
learn on Thursday of the sudden
passing of The Very Reverend Dr.
Allan Farris, principal of Knox
College, who a few weeks ago
preached the anniversary services
at Chalmer's Church, White-
church. A Memorial service is
being held on Monday at Knox
College, which will be attended by
the ministers 44 the community.

community hall on Friday under
the leadership of Vickie Scott,
