NEW TEACHERS
In September we will have three
new teachers. Mrs. Jean MacDon-
ald will be teaching Grade 5 as Mr.
O'Donohue will be teaching with
the Dryden Board. Mrs. Linda
Shewfelt will remain as Mrs. Burns
has resigned. Mr. Tim Price will be
teaching a second Grade 2 class as
we are getting another portable.
VISITING SENIOR CITIZENS
On Monday, June 30, classes of
Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. MacDonald
made a trip around the town to visit
the Senior Citizens Apartment
Building. While there they
entertained the ladies and gentle-
men with songs sand dances.
Paula Jarvis favoured us with a
solo, while Kerri Lynn Hunter,
Laurie Harkness, Paula Jarvis and
Kerri Dalton sang "Give Us Oil in
Our Lamps". Larry Reid and
Helen Needham entertained with a
lively tap dance.
The children then visited with
the group and had pictures taken.
Mrs. Culbert thanked us for our
thoughtfulness and ladies gave us a
PRIMARY FIELD DAY
Primary Field Day was held on
June 17. The events were high
jump, ball throw, running long
jump, 75 meter dash and open 200
meter. Girls champion was
Shannon Blackwell. Vicki Rutledge
and Jenny Scott were tied for
runner-up. Boy's champion was
David Patterson, Bruce Sumner
and Dennis German were tied for
runner-up.
PLAY DAY
Play Day was held on June 22.
There were 24 teams. Team One
won with 34 points out of 36. The
ones on the winning team were
captain Harold Peet, Sandra Daw-
son, Ron Middlekamp, Debbie
Gegwetch, Wilfred Janisse, Sheila
Osborne, Johnny Forster, Janine
Thompson, Luc Lemire, Jeff God-
