J. (Bert) Scott. The Reverend R. J. Scott passed away Julie 28th in Toronto. Steven and Ronnie Blackwell of Kamloops B.C. are visiting with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Stan Blackwell for 6 weeks. Visiting with 'Mrs. Oscar White on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Bert White and family of Birr and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Moore and family of Ripley. Cindy White is staying for a week's holidays with her grand- mother. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. John Peet of Owen Sound on the birth of their baby girl. Mrs. Peet is the former Maur- een Geertsma of this area. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan McCal- lum of Hanover visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Osborne and family on Sunday. Mrs. Jack McGuire, Mrs. Walter Black and Mrs. Ron McGuire attended the funeral last Wednesday of Mr. Henry Howe of Listowel. I stay in Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington. I wish to thank especially those friends and neigh- bours who looked after my garden and even finished planting it during this period of time.
