Lucknow Intermediate ball team
journeyed to Monkton last Wed-
nesday racking up an easy victory
of 9-2.
Monkton played a return game
on Sunday, June 12 with Lucknow
pitching duties supplied by Mark
Chisholm, Doug Stevenson and
'Ron Stanley, overpowering their
rivals 12-6.
Next home game is Wednesday
night against' Goderich-Nile at
9.00.
China Painting
Demonstration,
-.The-likkiiow and District Horti-
cultural Society held their regular
meeting in the Legion Hall Tuesday
afternoon June 8 with about thirty
members present.
Mrs. Mole presided and the
meeting opened with The Queen.
Various items of business were
discussed. The directors for the
month of August, will be in charge
of the flower show to be held that
month.
Delegates to the convention at
Windsor University are Mrs. J.
Errington and Mrs. H. McWhin-
ney. An invitation was received
from Ripley to attend their meeting
June 13, and from Teeswater June
24 at 2' p.m. Miss Ada Webster
announced there .are 138 paid
members.
Mrs. Eunice Cunningham was in
charge of the program and gave a
very interesting demonstration of
china painting. She was also in
charge of a successful auction. Tea
and sandwiches were served by the
committee in charge..

Southampton Nursing Home at
their June birthday party on
Tuesday and at' the Senior Citizens
meeting in Mildmay on Wednes-
day.
Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Zipfel and family is Miss Donalda
MacKinnon of Detroit. While
staying with Frank and Rita and
daughters Priscilla, Debbie, and
Shanda, Donalda is able to visit
with all her other friends in this
area.
