THAT Jack Ayre, the last surviving member of the Dumbell Group, who played piano accompaniment shows here, died suddenly of a heart attack last week in Toronto, while - on the subway. He was widely known for his musical ability. THAT Monday being a holiday, a huge volume of news copy and advertis- ing arrived on Tuesday morning and throughout the day. Despite the Monday holiday, The Sentinel printing deadline remains thesame and much of the material received on Tuesday had to be either held over or refused. There are not enough hours in the day to process these late submissions, and the only solution is to have them in earlier, wherever possible. In the Sentinel publishing schedule, ev- ery holiday weekend "last Friday was Monday", and that's the only way we can publish on time. THAT We regret the fact that the "Old" subscription price and single copy price worked its, way onto the front page of last week's paper. We're not exactly sure how it happened, but it made the day more interesting on Wednesday when the paper came off the press, and we certainly could have done without the little "Extra". It was a real test for a few, and they were very few, chiselers who insisted on paying 20c instead of 25c, even when told it was an error.
