throughout the year.
Helen Maclntyre made a toast to
the mothers with her mother, Mrs.
Allan Machityre replying. Susan
- Thompson toasted the. Giiiders with.
Guide Captain Mrs. Don Bellmore,
replying.
Mrs. Bruce Hamilton ihanked
the St. Helens W.I. for catering.
Mrs. Jim Curran responded on
behalf of the ladies.
Mrs. Don Cameron, secretary-
treasurer of the mothers committee
read the minutes from last year's
banquet and meeting and gave the
financial report. She also reported
that two card parties were held in
the spring and a draw for an afghan
as money making projects. Mrs.
Jim Morrison reported on the
Cookie Sales for this year.
Mrs. Harold Greer presented
Mrs. David Kirkland with a gift and
Mrs. Don Cameron presented Mrs.
Harold Greer with a gift in
appreciation of the years they gave
working with the Brownies' in the
past years.
Mrs. Jack McKim gave some
details on the International Camp
being held at Cape Breton this
summer to which Lorna Boyle and
Susan Thompson have been chosen
to attend. Mrs. McKim, on behalf
of the mother's committee, pres-
ented Lorna and Susan with money
to assist with their camping
expenses. Mrs. Barry Hackett,
representing the Lucknow and
District Kinettes, presented .the
girls with a cheque, also for their
camping expenses. Lorna and
Susan expressed their thanks for
the donations.
The afghan was won by., Mrs.
Don Thompson. The draw was
made by Wendy Martin, a member
of the Brussels Brownie Pack who
accompanied the guest speaker.

Thompson as follows: Golden

Maclntyre, Cathy Hamilton, Jose
den Boer, Lisa Barger, Julie
Nicholson.
Guide Captain Mrs. Dan Bell-
more and Guide Lieutenant Mrs.
Jim Morrison presented the follow-
ing padges to the Guides: Health,
Marian Raynard; Athlete, Suzanne
Kirkland, Brenda McLeod, Marian
Raynard; Camping Emblem, Lori
McKim; Challenge Emblem, Nan-
cy Thompson, Suzanne Kirkland,
Marian Raynard; BP Emblem,
Marian Raykard; Camp Leader,
Lori McKim, Marian Raynard.
Some of, the girls received service
stars.,
Kim Sanderson, Tracey McDon-
agh and Helen Maclntyre were
enrolled as Guides.
Mrs. Bellmore and Mrs. Morri-
son presented the All Round Cord
to Lori McKim, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. C. McKim ofluclmow;
Suzanne Kirkland,, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. David Kirkland of
Ashfield; Marian Raynard, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Raynard
of West Wawanosh; Nancy Thomp-
son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don
Thompson of Lucknow.
Mrs. Don Thompson introduced
Mrs. Sheila Richards of Brussels
who showed slides and spoke of her
experiences in Guiding. She has
taken her. Ranger Companies on
many trips, twice going to Europe
where they'visited "Our Chalet" in
Switzerland S and one time were
honoured to visit with Lady Baden
Powell. Lorna Boyle thanked Mrs.
Richards and presented her with a
gift.
