gave a piano selection. Helen lrw in
brought an interesting item about
LoCkerbie. Dumfrieshire. Scotland.

emigrated.

song.

It was agreed to hold the reunion
.next year at the same time, same
place. Elizabeth Wilkins took the
little children outside for races and
games of scramble, while the older
folks visited and reminisced.

Sympathy of the community is
extended to relatives of the late P.
A. Murray who passed away in
Wingham Hospital .on Sunday,
May 8.

been visiting relatives in Holland,
returned home on Friday and was
met at Toronto airport by members
of her family,

were guests at a dinner in
Kitchener last week held in honour
of the twenty-fifth wedding anniv-
ersary of Mr. and Mrs. John de
Groot of Guelph.
Mrs. May Richardson of Wing-
ham visited on Sunday with her
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Young.
Mr. and Mrs. Bev Kay of
Whitechurch attended the Ordina-
tion of two of his fellow students on
Sunday. One at Stoney Creek in
the afternoon and one at Brace-
bridge in the evening.

Johnstones Hold
First Reunion
The first reunion of the descend-
ants of James and Mary Ann
Johnstone was held at Bri3,okside

Relatives gathered from 11 to
12.30 to meet and look over family
history and pictures old and new.
At 12.30, over 70 sat down to a
bountiful smorgasbord meal, after
Gordon Johnstone, Lucknow, had
said grace.
After the dinner Mayme Wilkins
called the group to order and a
number of priZes were awarded:
birthday nearest to this Sunday,
Bonnie Hodges; anniversary clos-
est to this Sunday, Gordon and
Helen Irwin; family who came the
farthest, Mrs.' Ethel "Clark, Laura
sand Mabel; oldest person present
(aged 88), Mrs. ,Ethel Clark; girl
with the longest hair, Wanda
Miller; boy with the most freckles,
Jeffrey Dagg; largest family pres-
ent with surname of Johnstone,
Peter Johnstone; person with most
buttons, Gordon Johnstone.

Mrs. Selina Hunter, Lucknow
was given a gift as the only living
member of a family of eleven of
