Grain Club
The first meeting of the Ripley-
Kincardine Grain Club was held at
the Ripley Huron Central Public
School on Tuesday, May 3 at 8.30
p.m. All 14 members answered the
roll call by stating their names. The
leader, John C. MacDonald, intro-.
duced his assistant, Austin Martin
and told where each of them lives.
Brian Thompson was elected as
president; Corinne Boyle is the vice
president; Heather Boyle is the
secretary; the press reporter is
Joan Osborne.
The next meeting will be held on
Thursday, June 2 at the Ripley
Huron Central Public School at 8.30
p.m. Don Morrison of Agromart is
coming to speak about fertilizer
and show slides. All interested
people are welcome 'to attend. •
The subjects that are wanted for
the three meetings were discussed
and chosen. The first meeting ,will
be on fertilizer, The second meet-
ing will be on Crop Insurance and
Pricing Crops. Judging and a quiz
will be the activities of the last
meeting.
Heather Boyle reminded mem-
bers about the 4-H exchange to
North Niagara and West Virginia.
Brian Thompson handed out the
record books and the leaders
exptained to the first year members
what has to be done in the books.
Brian Thompson moved the
meeting be adjourned and Joyce
Osborne seconded it.

Died At London
MAE LORETTA REDMOND
The death of Mae Loretta
Redmond occurred at her late
residence in London on Saturday,
April 23.
She was the daughter of the late
John Redmond and Mary Robinson
of St. Augustine.
A graduate of Goderich Collegi-
ate, the London Normal School and
Royal Conservatory of Music,
Toronto, she taught school in many
areas of Ontario, including twenty-
four years with the Windsor
Separate School Board. She also
taught music in the Goderich and
Auburn areas.
The late Miss Redmond was a
member of the London Canadian
Club, the Retired Teachers' Assoc-
iation, and the Registered Music
Teachers' Association and the St.
Augustine C.W.L.
She is survived by brothers
Augustine and Theodore, both of
St. Aug'ustine and seven nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by
one brother William.
The remains rested at the Stiles
Funeral Home, Goderich until
Tuesday morning, then to St.
Augustine Roman Catholic Church
for requiem Mass at 10.30 a.m.The
burial. was in the adjoining
cemetery.
The pallbearers were six neph-
ews, Wayne, Blair, Ambrose and
Leo Redmond, George Hackett and
Angus Cline.
