Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Menary were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Menary and Mrs. Harold Menary's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Glanville, Walton. Sue Godfrey and Glen MacDon- ald of Kitchener visited Sue's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Godfrey on the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mohring and Timmy spent the past three weeks with friends in Goderich, while their mobile home was exchanged for a new modular home on the same site. They got settled in through the week. Mr. and Mrs. John Bere, Karen and David of London spent the weekend with Mrs. Mary Bere. On Sunday other members of the Bere family came for a family gathering. Several from this district attend- ed the auction sale for Mrs. Ira Wall at her farm just east of Whitechurch. ,A good crowd was in attendance and the weather was fine but cool. Mrs. Wall has sold the farm and taken an apartmentin Wingham. A family gathering was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wally Weirsma on Sunday in honour of their 35th wedding anniversary. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Graham Moffat were Mrs. Bessie Farrell and boys of Kincard- ine and Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Conley and family of Guelph. . Marilyn, who had been visiting her sisters in Guelph returned home. Mr. and Mrs. John Green have _visiting with them Mrs. Green.' s. mother from England. Young. , A number from this district attended the Junior Farmers annu- al concert in Teeswater, held on ' Thursday, Friday and Saturday Teachers development day was held last Friday which gave ,the school children in this area an extra day's holiday on the weekend. This weekend the Girl Guides and Brownies have been busy raising money by selling cookies. Present 9 Babies For Baptism DUNGANNON NEWS Nine babies were presented for the sacrament of baptism at Dungannon United Church on Sunday at Family Day service. The choir contributed to the service with two anthem's under the leader- ship of Shelley Rivett at the organ. Rev. H. G. Dobson preached on the subject, "The Christian at hothe". The babies presented for baptism were - Robyn Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Dawson; Steven Cecil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNall; John Cameron, son of Mr. and Mrs.. MacDonald, Goderich; Terri Lynn, daughter of `Mr. and Mrs'. Harold Menary; Krista Lee, daughter of, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Culbert; Karen Mich- elle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Storey; Robert Kenneth, son of Mr. and 11711—.s. Ka Ohm; Jenni Sue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown; David Ian', son of Mr. and Mrs.- John Bere, London. Kathie and John Stanbury .stood up as godparents for David Ian Bere. There ,was an almost capacity congregation for the Family Day service.. All are invited to worship next Lord's Day at the same time. Dungannon .U.C.W. is holding a "Bee", to clean the church on May 11 and 12. Volunteers, women and men are invited. Dungannon U.C.W. will hold a pot luck luncheon meeting at 12.30 on May 16 at which all former members are invited guests. Jennifer and Timmy of Mississ- auga spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Irvine Eedy. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Eedy and Laurel of Strathroy called on Mr. and Mrs. Irvine Eedy on . Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Soloman of Whitechurch visited Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Storey- on Sunday and attended the baptismal service for their granddaughter.' Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Ohm on the weekend and Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Clare }lodges of Stratford, Mr. Richard Ohm,' Wingham, Miss Lynn Culbert, Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Culbert. Mrs. Larry Pentland is home after spending a couple of days in hospital early last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wif Pentland visited Mr, and Mrs. Bob Andrew and family in Kincardine on Sunday and met with other members of their family to dine out for Mother's Day. The April meeting of the Dungannon Agricultural Society was held in the hall on Wednesday, April 27. It was announced that the lights on the ball diamond are installed and ready to be hooked up by Ontario Hydro. The recreation committee have been busy plan- ning and are ready to install back stop and fencing around ball diamond. An application has been sent for entry in Bed Race at Kinsmen's celebration in Ldcknow in late June. A "Bee" was planned to scrub and refinish the floor of the hall. Some time was spent arranging helpers for the dance at Saltford on April 30. The Agricultural Dance at Salt- ford Hall was well attended and quite successful.
