Mrs. Cecil Blake visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kilpatrick in VVingham and attend- ed the Baptist Church to hear the Bible School. Choir from Jackson, Michigan. Richard Thompson, who spent • some time earlier in Goderich Hospital due to a back injury' suffered at work in the salt mine, has been in London in hospital for treatment. Johnny, Greg and Larissa Ald- ham of Goderich spent the week- end with their grandmother, Mrs. Mary Bere. FATHER PASSES IN TORONTO Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Jones on Ahe death of Mrs. Jones' father, Mr. Frank Tanner, who passed away in Toronto on April 12, aged 77 years. He had visited his daughter and family in Dungannon in the summers since they moved here and made several friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Jones, Michael and Gareth and Mrs. Jones (Reginald's mother), spent a few days with. Mr. and Mts. Ron Tanner in Agincourt -and attended Mr.. Tanner's , funeral. The subject of Rev. H. G. Dobson's sermon at Dungannon United Church was "The evil one". The, Sacrament-of—Baptism- will- be- administered on Mother's Day, May 8 at the regular service. Interested parents should contact the minister. Dungannon U.C.W. are having a pot luck 'dinner and meeting 'on May 16 at 12.30. Former members are invited. A good turn out of present members is requested. There will be a "Bee" to scrub the basement and aisles in the sanctuary and general spring cleaning of the church on May 11 and 12. Volunteers are asked to come and help. Would Sunday School teachers please clean their book shelves?. Glen Zehr of •Tavistock was the Demonstraled Cake Decotaiing On April 19, the Lucknow Junior Women's Institute held their meeting which opened with the opening Ode and Mary Stewart Collect., The minutes of the last meeting were then read and business discussed. Elizabeth Ritchie introduced the guest, Mrs. Handerfelt from Moorefield, who demonstrated cake- decorating. WHITECHURCH Mr. and Mrs. Jack Inglis of Victoria have returned to this community for the summer months. We are pleased to report that Mrs. Alan Falconer and baby daughter, Amy Margaret, were able to return home on Friday from Wingham Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Harry GUtoskie, Michelle and Michael of Kitchener were weekend visitors with her parents, Mr. and MrsAill Rintoul. 30TH ANNIVERSARY . Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilkens' family had them come to Listowel, where they celebrated with their parents their 30th wedding anniversary and presented them with silver gifts. Spending Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross and family were Mr. and Mrs. George Ross 'and Cheryl of Owen Sound, his mother Mrs. Jean Ross of Pinecrest Lodge, Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Ross of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Purdon and Kendra were at Stratford on Sunday to bring Lorie Purdon home, where she had been attending a Swimming Instructor's Course. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Corey and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnston of Clinton were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rintoul. We are sorry to report that Tom Inglis was admitted on Thursday last to Wingham Hospital with pneumonia. 50TH ANNIVERSARY On Saturday evening a 50th wedding anniversary was held in Whitechurch Community Hall for Mr. and Mrs. Calvin McIntyre of Wingham. Carruthers Orchestra supplied the music for dancing and Whitechurch Women's Institute prepared the wedding dinner. The McIntyre family presented their parents with a coloured television. Visitois with Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan and Mrs. Ben Mc- Clenaghan were Mr. and Mrs. Jim McIntyre, Heather and Beth, of Val Cairon and their son Alan McIntyre and Mrs. McIntyre of London. All attended their parents and grand- parents Golden Wedding celebra- tion. Mrs. ' Gershom Johnston and George Grigg spent, Friday to Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Smith of Kitchener and Mrs. Johnston visited with Mrs. Ethel Kirkwood at the Nursing Home. On the way home on Sunday they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Johnston and family of Listowel. Bob Ross completed his years course at Conestoga College on Friday.
