SPRUCE BUD WORM
From May 10 to June 1, is the
time to spray for this pest. It is
difficult to predict the extent 'of
damage this insect will cause but I
would treat any valuable spruce
trees with one of the following:
Cygon, Malathion or Sevin. These
chemicals will also control Birth
leafminers with a spray in mid May

FOREST TENT CATERPILLARS
These, worms were very plenti-
ful on maples in 1976. They don't
form tents like the tent caterpillars
on apple and cherry trees but live
in clusters on the large branches
and trunk. The foliage should be
sprayed with Sevin, Methoxychlor,
Thuricide or Dipel from mid to late .

WEBSTER - In loving memory of a
dear wife and mother, Winnifred,
who. passed away two years ago,
