J. Fensham of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin - Mundell of Gorrie, Mrs. James Bushin of Pickering were recent visitors in Lucknow with Mrs. James Smith. Easter Sunday dinner guests with Mrs.. Richard West and Mabelle MacDonald were Mrs. Jean Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Jim West and family,. Mr. and Mrs. Allan MacDougall and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Smeltzer and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacGreg- or of London and Mrs. Clark Finfayson of Goderich were Sunday guests of their cousin Mrs. George Stuart, Lucknow. Other recent visitors were Mrs. Roy MacKenzie of Ripley and Mr. and Mrs. R. Lautenslager of Kincardine. Lorne Farrish of Lucknow has returned home from Wingham and District Hospital where he was a patient for two weeks.. The Rev. George Garratt of Lucknow returned home last Friday from Wingham and District Hosp- ital, where he was hospitalized for three weeks. Mrs. Arthur Breckles of Luck- now, who was a patient in Victoria Hospital, • London for 2 months, convalesced at the home of her daughter Mrs. Harold Haldenby of Sarnia, for one week, and will return to her home in Lucknow this weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Smeltzer of Huron Township, have returned home, fallowing 'a two' week holiday in California, Nevada and Arizona. Mrs. Harvey Houston, Lucknow and Miss June Alton, Wingham are attending the semi-annual Board Directors meeting of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario, at the Lord Simcoe Hotel, Toronto, April 18 - 22nd. Mrs. Houston is Public Relations Officer and Miss Alton is one of the Junior W.I. Board Directors. Mrs. Lloyd Ashton of Lucknow is a patient in Wingham Hospital, being admitted last Tuesday, upon Mr. and Mrs. Ashtdn's return from Florida. Mr. and Mrs. John Carter and Mr. and Mrs. David Carter spent the Easter weekend at Calendar. They left Thursday, travelling through the worst storm and high winds of the year;with cars in the ditch and accidents everywhere. Temperatures dipped to -18 celsius Thursday night at North Bay . Saturday and Sunday were cold, but sunny. Miss Mabelle MacDonald visited in Windsor for a' few days with relatives and • friends and also attended a reunion of former employees of Park David Drug Company. Mr. and Mrs. 'Jim Mills and family of Weston spent Easter weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Art Smeltzer. Mrs. Ralph Cameron of Lucknow returned home from Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday of last week. Mrs. Cam Thompson and Mrs. Stuart Collyer of Lucknow, Miss Joanne Thompson and Rod Mac- Farlane of Brampton visited last weekend with Mrs. Ron Rothwell. Norwood and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Collyer, Campbellford. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. MacDonald of Lucknow recently ' visited with members of their family in London and Sarnia. While in Sarnia they attehded a luncheon in honour of their birthdays March 17 and April 20. Those attending were Rev. and Mrs. Dennis Clark. Wendy and Valerie of Sarnia; Miss Margaret MacDonald of Sarnia; Mr. and Mrs. Graham MacDohald. Jim and Bill of London; Judy and Mac MacDonald, Janet, John, Elizabeth and Geof of Sarnia. Rev. Mr. Clark is the new minister at St., Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sarnia. Gordon Montgomery of Lucknow underwent surgery last week at University Hospital, London. Due to an error in printing by a Durham area printing firm, all Lucknow ads were omitted from the program. The Lucknow Lions, in turn, again approached each business place which had run an ad, offering a refund.. The following business places agreed to let the money remain with the club as a donation.
