Discussion centred on water
run-off on Rose Street west, which
comes down to the corner of Rose
and Stauffer in the area of the
Whitcroft. Dennis and Keane
properties. Council agreed on the
problem. but an additional problem
of allocation of funds for storm
sewer drains means no immediate
solution. for property holders.

Grants approved by council
include Lucknow Agricultural Soc-
iety, $500. as needed prior to the
Fair; Lucknow Horticultural Soc-
iety. $400. when required; Bruce
County Plowmen's Association.
$50; a request from the Grey-Bruce
Arts Council for a grant of $83.30
was almost "filed —. but councillor
Bill Crump expressed the opinion
that sizeable grants were given for
sports and recreation, and that he
felt the proposal might have merit
for those of the community
interested in the arts. He'requested
time to investigate the purpose and
functions of the Grey-Bruce Arts
Council before making a decision,
Council agreed.
