Mrs. Melinda Nivins, Clinton
came from the hospital to stay with
Mar. and Mrs. Jack Errington for a
while. She still has difficulty
getting around since injuring her
knee in a fall at her home.
Several from here attended the
drama at Lucknow United Church
on April 5th. Congratulations to
the ladies of Lucknow United
Church U.C.W. on a marvellous
production.
CARD PARTY
The Dungannon Agricultural
Society held a card party and bake
, sale at the Agricultural Hall on
Wednesday, April 6 with about 15
tables of progressive euchre.
Ladies high prize went to Mrs.
Mary Errington, Goderich; men's
high was a tie between Nels
Pearson and Stewart Smith but Mr.
Smith won the prize on drawing
straws; ladies' low prize went 'to
Mrs. Lillian Irvin and men's low to
Tom Webster. Other winners were
5 lone hands, Mary Errington,
Louise McWhinney; 6 lone hands,
Paul Eedy; birthday nearest April
6, Mrs. Art Stewart., Since' there
was quite a bit of baking left, after
lunch Frank Pentland and Bob
McNeil auctioned it off. The
Agricultural Society is planning to
put together a cook book and would
like members. to contribute their
favourite recipes. Keep in mind the
Agricultural Society dance at
Saltford later in April.
Dungannon Christian Fellowship.
Yoking People sponsors met a week
ago Friday night and enjoyed a
scavenger hunt and went bowling
in Goderich.
Last Sunday student Pastor Doug
Zehr delivered a message on the
First Epistle of John, chapter 1,
verses 8-10. at the Dungannon
Fellowship Church. He challenged
the congregation to knoW Christ
and live as he did. On Sunday
evening the congregation held a
business meeting and sing song in
the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Smith are
spending the holiday weekend with
their family in Chatham and Essex.
The Cemetery 'Board held its
annual meeting at the home of
Mrs. Elma Reed on Wednesday
evening.
CARD PARTY
There were 13 tables of euchre
and 4 tables 'of crokinole at a party
in Brookside School put on by the
Young People of Trinity Church on
Thursday, April 7. Ladies' high
prize was a tie ' between Lori
Hackett and Mrs. Bernice Kemp.
Low ladies' was also a tie between
Joan Hackett and Mrs. Evelyn
Hackett. Men's first prize went to
Art Stewart and men's low to Doug
Blake. Ladies' first prize in
crokinole was won by Mrs. Honi
Scott and ladies' low , went to
Suzanne Alton. Men's high prize
was won by Murray Gilchrist and
his brother Dave Gilchrist won the
low prize.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dobson and
boys of St. Catharines visited his
parents Rev. H. G. and Mrs.
' DobsOn on Friday.
Mrs. Elma Reed and Girvin
visited Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Eadie
and family at Holyrood on Friday.

the death of Mrs. holl:lFicy Gibbs
(nee Margaret Kilpatrick), Cal-
, Alberta on March 25 in her
02nd year. She was born on May
24. 1885. the daughter of the late
M`r. and Mrs. John Kilpatrick, nee
Frances Albin of Crewe, where she
v, ill be remembered as a teacher. A
brother, Milton Kilpatrick of God-
erich survives, and her daughter
Miss Jean Gibbs in Calgary.
Sympathy of friends is extended to
the relatives.
There was a good attendance at
Easter Sunday service at Dungan-
non United Church. The choir
sang, "I found a miracle", with
Shelley Rivett at the organ. Rev. H.
G. Dobson spoke on the topic,
"What am Ito do with Jesus". The
front of the church was beautiful
with, an Easter lily and potted
mums.
Dungannon U.C.W. will meet on
Monday, April 18 at 1.30 p.m. for a
dessert luncheon at the home of
Mrs. Donna Alton.
Camp Bimini and Camp Menest-
ung are recruiting staff. If you ire

minister.

Miss Irene Hasty flew home from
Regina last week and motored back
West with her father, Lorne Hasty.
Irene is soon transferring from
Regina to Kamloops Hospital.

lowship congregation met on
Friday morning for a Good Friday
communion service. Pastor Doug-
las Zehr conducted the Easter

ch theme, "There is more to
come", with emphasis on Christ's
resurrection, taken from Mark,
chapter 16.
