Mr. and Mrs.Bill Evans were their
daughter Mrs. Edith Brown of
London, son Bob Evans of Hamil-
ton, son Ted and Mrs. Evans,
Linda, Larry and Lisa of Ballinafad.
This community extends their
sincere sympathy to Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Elliott and family in the
passing of his father's brother, the
late Jim Elliott, whose funeral was
held in Wingham on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bev Kay and
Wendy were in Kitchener on
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jamieson,
Lori Ann, Gordon and Marilyn
visited Easter Sunday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. F.

This community wishes Mrs.
Christopher, who has been in
Wingham Hospital the past week, a
very speedy recovery to health.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw of
Windsor spent the holiday with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Elroy
Laidlaw.
Mr. and Mrs. Brian Falconer of
Sarnia spent the weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Milligan.
Mrs. Graham and her sister Mrs.
Sarah Fulford of Brampton were
Sunday afternoon visitors with the
former's daughter, Mrs. Bev Kay,
Mr. Kay and Wendy.
Dave Adams and Clarence
Wybenga of Windsor spent the
holiday here. Clarence called on
many of, his friends in the village.
This community extends sincere
sympathy to the Rintoul families in
the passing of their. brother, John
Rintoul of Agincourt, who had bee,n
confined to" Providence ' Nursing
Home, Agincourt; for over 3 years
due to a stroke. Attending the
funeral on Saturday at 10 o'clock
were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rintoul,
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul, Mr.
-arrel -Mts.-Rifl Rirrtoul, Mrs. -E-wart-
MacPherson, Ralph Cameron and
Mrs. Doug Snell of Londesboro.
John, around 1940, owned the
property now owned by Mr. and
Mrs. Wardrop. Here he operated a
poultry business and he built the
house, the former one being
burned. He sold the property to the
late Mr. Mellrath.
Most broken promises are made
with the best of intentions.

SUGAR BUSH
On Monday, March 15; Mrs.
Bourgeois' Grade three class and
Mrs. Johnson's grade one class
visited the maple sugar bush at
Sangeen Bluff's Conservation Ar-
ea. They arrived at noon , and
enjoyed lunch at the picnic area.
They divided into groups and were
taken on a tour of the evaporator
house where the sap is made into
maple syrup. In the bush, they saw
the three methods of collecting sap.
Mr. Stanley and three mothers.
Mrs. Godfrey, Mrs. Gamble and
Mrs. Emmet-ton accompanied the
classes.

Mrs. Johnson and the pupils of
her class wish Chris Life a speedy
recovery after his appendix opera-
tion.

KINDERGARTEN
We have two new pupils in our(
morning class, Lee Dadson and Jeff
Scott. We have lost one pupil.
David Fleming who is now attend-
ing Kincardine Township-Tiverton
Public School. We are enjoying
watching the four new gold fish we
have in our room.
Celebrating their sixth birthdays
this month are Stephanie Bell who
was born on April, 1 • and Trina
Lowry whose birthday is on April
24. Progess report cards were sent
home this week with each student.
Kindergarten registration for
1977-78 will be held in the gym on
April 22, from 1.00 to 3.30 p.m.
Proof of age and immunization are
.required to complete registration. ,
Everyone is looking forward to
Easter and the holiday weekend.

Brother Passes In
Toronto
JOHN A. RINTOUL
John Alexander Rintoul of Agin-
court, passed away in Providence
Hospital, Scarborough, on Thurs-
day, April 7 in his 72nd year. He
had been hospitalized for the past
31/2 years after suffering a stroke.
John was a son of Mr. and Mrs.
Alexander Rintoul of the • 10th
concession West Wawanosh,
where he was born on June 10,
1905:
Mr. Rintoul lived for a time at
Whitechurch but has resided in
Toronto for the past number of
years. He is survived by his wife,
the former Edith Colwell of
Toronto; a daughter Mrs. Stewart
(Joan) McKaye, a son Donald
Rintoul and one 'grandchild Kelly,
all of Toronto; also two brothers
and three sisters, Will and Gordon,
both of Whitechurch, Mrs. Ewart
(Luella) MacPherson and Mrs.
Ralph (Euphemia) Cam6ron, both
of Lucknow, and Mrs. James
(Freda) Reid of Blyth.
He was predeceased by his
father in 1943, his mother in 1952
and one sister Mrs. Harry (Margar-
et) Lee of Toronto in 1950.
The funeral service was held on
Saturday, April 9 with relatives
from this attending.
