St. Joseph's Parish Hall at
Kingsbridge was filled to capacity
on Sunday evening, March 2.0th for
the annual St. Patrick's Variety
Concert in honour of St. Patrick and
the Patron Saint of our parish, St.
Joseph. Master of ceremonies
Father Ed Dentinger told . many
witty Irish jokes, and called on the
following numbers:
Irish songs and dances by the
school children of St. Joseph's
School, Kingsbridge. The juniors
were accompanied by Mrs. Nancy
Park, the seniors by Mrs. Lillian
Simpson; Baton Twirling by Tom-
my ,and Rosemary Gilmore; The
Stapleton Sisters sang "My Wild
Irish Rose" and "Little Boy'
Moon"; Lisa Frayne did an Irish

Down In Ontario
Semi Final Series
Lucknow Midgets are presently
in the Ontario Minor Hockey As-
sociation semi finals against Nor-
wich, located in the Tillsonburg
area. The series is a best four out of
seven one.
The detailed game reports did
not arrive this week, but Lucknow
is two down in the series losing the
first game in Norwich 6-5 on Friday
night and -the second game 8-3 in
Lucknow on Sunday afternoon.

Norwich tonight, Wednesday, and
the fourth game in Lucknow on
Friday night.
ST. HELENS
SHOOT PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Errington,
were the lucky players at the
Thursday night Shoot Party. Out of
the nine tables of players Mr.
Errington was high man and Mrs.
Errington was the lowest lady.
Mrs. Errington also won the prize
for the "Most Shoots". High lady
went to Mrs. Stuart Chamney and
low man went to John Andrew..
Mrs. Oscar Hodgins was the
fortunate one to sit in the "Lucky
Chair". The next Shoot Party is
March 31.

visited for a few days with her .

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Parrott,

with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gaunt.

Rhonda Hogan. Lunch was served
by the ladies' of the Catholic
Women's League.
The Lucknow Bantams won the
Ontario Minor Hockey Association
semi-finals against the Wainfleet
Bantams in Wainfleet on Sunday,
March 19 in the fourth game of the
series.
Lucknow travelled to Wainfleet
on Saturday and suffered their first
defeat of the playoffs. The score
was 6-4 for Wainfleet. This was the
third•game of the series. Lucknow
won the first two.
Lucknow went back to Wainfleet
on Sunday and were determined
not to lose this one. Playing their
Lucknow hosted some 20 teams
-in the annual Wingham Midget
Hockey Tournament, Over' the past
weekend which produced some
very exciting hockey.
Although this tournament re-
quires a great deal of work in
organization, it is thought to be a
rewarding experience for fans and ,
organizers alike. A great deal of
thanks is extended to all those who
helped in any way, including the

Lucknow Pee Wee hockey team
played an exhibition game in
Ripley on March 16 with Lucknow
winning 9-4.

Pee Wees In
Goderich Series
Lucknow Pee Wee hockey team
has been busy in the Young Canada
Hockey tournament in Goderich.
The first game was at 9.20 a.m.
Saturday, March 19 with Lucknow
losing 6-3 to Thedford.
Lucknow went into the consola-
tion playoffs against Tiverton at
5.30 p.m. on Saturday. Lucknow
won 4-3 in overtime.
They play again at 2 p.m. Friday
and will also play an exhibition
game against St. Lambert, Quebec
at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Atom Hockey
March 10th, Lucknow Atoms
visited Kincardine for an exhibition
game, with Kincardine winning 8
to 4. Scoring for Lucknow Were
Todd Ritchie 2, Don Peterson and
Grant Murray each 1. Assists went
to Don Peterson 3.
March 11th, Lucknow travelled
to Ripley, coming back with a win
4-2. Goal getters were Don Peter-
son, Lawrence Clark, Grant Mur-
ray, Tom Gilmore one each; assists
going to Ross Pickard, Mike
Crump, Lynn Murray, Todd Rit-
chie, Lawrence Clark.
March 14th, Brussels were at
Lucknow and Brussels won 2-0.
March 19th, Lucknow played at
Mount Forest, losing 2-0.
best game of the series, Lucknow
won 5-4. This win gave Lucknow
the series and the team now enter
the finals with dates uncertain as
yet.

Tournament
Friday, March 25, the Lucknow
Atoms hockey team will be going to
Wainfleet for a three day stint,
playing in the Little N.H.L. Atom
Tournament.
Lucknow will be coming up
against Trout Creek at 3 p.m.
Friday. The second game is
Saturday, March 26th at 12.00
noon.
The boys will be billited to homes
in Wainfleet for the Friday evening
and Saturday, providing they get
into the Championship playoff.
