Atoms Win DD Championship, Defeat Milverion Lucknow Atom hockey team won the • WOAA DD championship by defeating Milverton 2 straight games. Lucknow led 2-0 at the end of the first period, 3-0 at the end of the second and added 2 more in' the third for a final score of 5-1. Scoring points were Grant Mur- ray 3 goals, 1 assist; Todd Ritchie 2 goals, 2 assists; Don Peterson 1 assist. Point getters were Don Peterson 1 goal, Steve.Hamilton 1, Brian De Groote 1; assists, Steve Hamilton, Grant Murray, each one. February 24th Lucknow was at Wingham with a score of 3-3. Steve Alton, Lyn Murray, Don Peterson, each had 1 goal:, assists went to Don Peterson and Todd Ritchie. February 28th, an exhibition game played in Lucknow against Kincardine gave Kincardine a 5-2 win. Lucknow's points were by Don Peterson 2 goals, with 1 assist each to Todd Ritchie and Grant Murray. On March 3rd Lucknow will visit Belgrave in an exhibition game starting at 7.00 p.m. Pee Wees Lost DD Finals A11er Five Games .the Pee Wee DD W.O.A.A. hockey finals between Lucknow and Milverton the game ended in a 4-4 tie after ten minutes overtime. The game was played in Milverton on February 17. This was the third game and Lucknow was down two games. Goal scorers for Lucknow were Mike Whitcroft from Brian Taylor and Dave Emberlin, Glen Raynard unassisted, George' Alton from Allan Eadie and George Alton from Kent Alton and Allan Eadie. On February 19 Milverion played at Lucknow. Lucknow won 4-1. Goal scorers for Lucknow were Arthur Clark from Dave Gibson and Mike Humphrey, Allan Eadie from Glen Raynard, Dave Gibson from Art Clark and Glen Raynard and Dave Gibson unassisted. On February 24 Milverton de- feated Lucknow 7-2 in Milverton. Goal scorers for Lucknow were Kent Alton from Allan Eadie and Allan Eadie from Lance Sanderson and George Alton. Milverton won the series with 3 wins and 1 tie to Lucknows 1 win and a tie. House League Hockey Results On February 26, in the first game, the Leafs defeated the Rangers 6 to 2. Kevin Lindsay and Ed VanOsch led the attack with a pair of goals each for the Leafs. Ken VanOsch and Troy Ritchie added singles. Morris VanOsch and Richard Jurjens replied for the Rangers. In the second game, the Canad- iens edged the Bruins 2 to 1. Duane Rivett and Bernie, Burgsma tallied for the Canadiens. Mike Dennis replied for the Bruins. In the third game, the Red Wings blanked the Black Hawks 4-0. Tim Edisbury notched a pair of goals for the Red Wings. Peter Kohnert and Leonard Kohnert added singles.
