Concordia Lutheran Church,
Burnaby, B.C. was decorated in
white gladioli and carnations, for
the marriage of Maret Inari
Collanus and James Cameron
MacDonald on Sunday, January
9th at 3 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J., -Collanus of Helsinki,
Finland. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs Leonard MacDonald
of Lucknow.
Rev. ,L Tuomisti officiated at the
double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her brother
Alpo Collanus of * Helsinki, the
bride wore an empire-line style
gown of fine cotton and lace, with
an U-shaped neckline and long lace
sleeves. She *wore a shoulder-
length veil and carried a bouquet of
small pink carnations and rose
buds.
Maid of honour was Miss Joan
Scobel of Vancouver, friend of the
bride. She wore a floor-length
gown, of pink jersey, and wore a
corsage of white carnations..
The groom wore a Windsor-style
brown tuxedo, with a ruffled ivory
shirt and brown bow tie.
Ron MacDonald of Lucknow,
brother of the groom, was grooms-
man.
A reception and dinner followed
at the home of Wilf Scobel in
Burnaby.
Following a wedding trip to San
Francisco, the couple are residing
in the Kitsilano region of Vancouv-
er.
The bride is on the nursing staff

Congratulations to Dr. and Mrs.
Iman Mohamed (Katherine Page),
on the birth of their son, a first
grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Page.
We extend sympathy to Mrs.
Ardill Mason and family in the
passing of the late Ardill Mason.
The funeral was held in Ripley on
Thursday morning.
John McInnes of Teeswater and
Bob McInnes of Orangeville were
visitors at the Maulden home on
Thursday.
Mrs. Fred Page is in Toronto at
the home of, Dr'. and Mrs. Iman
Mohamed.
Mrs. Art- Haldenby "spent a few
days with members of her family in
Toronto. •
Mrs. .Bert Nicholson and Mrs.
Howard Thompson spent a few
days with their aunt and uncle, Mr.
and Mrs. Wilbert Haldenby in
Toronto.
George Haldenby underwent
further surgery on Wednesday at
University Hospital, London. Jack
Scott also underwent surgery on
Wednesday at University Hospital,
London and Mrs. Arthur Breckles
Sr., formerly of here, is a patient in
Victoria Hospital, London. We wish
all of them improved health.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stanley
and Terry enjoyed a winter holiday
in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. George Graham
and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Graham
were in London last Thursday for
George's medical check up and we
are pleased that he got a favourable
report.

West Wawanosh Council. Minutes
The February meeting of West
Wawanosh Township Council was
held in the office of the Public
Works Garage on Tuesday, Febru-
ary 7th, at 1.00 p.m., after a week's
postponement. All members
attended and Reeve Lyons presid-
ed.
The minutes of the January
meeting were read and adopted on
motion of CoUncillors Wckey and
Stothers.
A motion by Councillors Stothers
and Hickey authorized the Clerk to
write a letter to George Joynt,
advising him that the Township is
willing to accept, as part of its road
system, the access road to • his
residential lots which form a part of
lot 13, concession 14.
The Clerk was ditected to write a
letter to John Johnston, Drainage
Co-ordinator, Toronto, regarding
the Township's allotment for tile
drainage loans for 1977.
A motion by Councillors Foran
and Hickey authorized the Reeve
and Clerk to apply for the annual
subsidy on 1976 road expenditures
in the amount of $134,945.71.
Motion by, Councillors Stothers
and Cranston: "That Joan
Armstrong is hereby appointed the
Treasurer of West Wawanosh
Township upon the retirement of
Clarence Greer, which will be
effective on the completion of the
1976 audit."
Motion by Councillors Hickey
and Stothers: "That Joan Arm-
strong be paid a salary of $7500.00
per annum as Clerk-Treasurer of
the Township".
, The road accounts were ordered
paid on motion of Councillors
Cranston and Hickey.
