U.S. # 1 REGULAR
George Whitby of Lucknow is
scheduled to return to University
Hospital, London this week where
surgery is scheduled on his knee on
Thursday.
In the 50th wedding anniversary
write up in last week's Sentinel for
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gibson, now of
Goderich, the article should have
read - It was in 1969 that illness
forced them to quit farming, at
which time they returned to
Lucknow. One daughter and one
son were born while the Gibsons
were living in Lucknow.
The Lucknow Women's Institute
will hold their regular meeting in
the Assembly Room on Monday,
FebrUary 7th at 12.30 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hunter
and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Laidlaw
returned 'on Monday of last week
-from a three week holiday at Mesa,
Arizona.
Self-made obstacles often keep
men from striking their stride:
Jack Webster of Edmonton,
Alberta has been visiting with
friends and relatives in the area.
"Big Jack" picked the worst
weather of the year to visit the east
and assured us that the weather
would always be much more
favourable for visitors to Western
Canada.
