Sandy McLeod of Wingham, formerly of Lucknow, will mark his 91st birthday on February 1st. Sandy has been a patient at Wingham Hospital. Orland Richards and John Roul- ston have returned from a two week- holiday trip to Florida. Visitors last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mole, Luckow, were their son Don, his wife Kay and children Dan, Shawn and Donnie of Courtright, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cook and girls of , Chesley. Darryn Barry of Islington recent- ly spent about ten days with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ross in Lucknow while his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lou Barry were holidaying in Florida. Mrs. Hugh Crawford of Simpson Saskatchewan and Harold Craw- ford of Guelph were weekend guests with Mrs. Earl Wightman and Harvey of Lucknow. Mrs. Mel Stewart of 'Guelph spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Wilfred Drennan, Ljuicknow. Mr. and Mrs. Farish Moffat, Wingham entertained on Sunday in honour of her father, Mr. Alex MacKenzie of Lucknow, on the occasion of his 92nd birthday, January 26th. LANGSIDE Schools and school buses were cancelled because of storms last week again, also many meetings. We hope the storms are now over and everything back to normal again including rural news which has been held up by stormy Mondays. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bregman and their mothers, Mrs. C. Nell of Stayner and Mrs. Jan Bregman of Exeter returned last Wednesday, January 19 from a, motor trip to Florida which they all enjoyed. Elmer Scott and Ernie Hanna are both patients in Wingham and District Hospital. We hope they will soon be able to return to their homes. Lloyd Moffat of Lucknow, form- erly of Langside, spent a few days in Wingham Hospital after a fall at his home. We are pleased to report he is home again and feeling better. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moffat called on her mother, Mrs. Robena Stewart of Teeswater, on Friday. The annual meeting of Langside Presbyterian Church will be held next Saturday afternoon. A good attendance is hoped for. Special music at Langside Church on Sunday was a duet "Tell it Again" by Nancy de Boer and Philip Steer and a trio "Praise the Lord" by Liane Young and Joanne and Nancy de Boer. The Langside Whitechurch Young People held their regular meeting at Whitechurch Sunday evening. In Europe they call us "Canada Fats".
