At Thunder Bay Bill Broadworth, Huron County Associate Agricultural Represeht- atine with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, has been promoted to the position of Agricul- tural Representative for the district of Thunder Bay. Since coming to Huron County, three and one half years ago, Mr. Broadworth has worked closely with dairymen in areas of dairy farm management. More and more dairymen are becoming . more concerned about proper, adequate nutrition in their dairy herds. The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food's computerized dairy feed Pee Wee Hockey On January 13, Lucknow Pee Wee hockey team played at Howick and won by a score of 5-4. Goal scorers for Lucknow were David Gibson, 3 goals and 1 assist; Allan Eadie, 1 goal; Brian Taylor, 1 goal. Assists went to Kent Alton,. Arthur Clark, Mike Humphrey, Dave Emberlin, Mike. Whitcroft. • This was a close exciting game. To that point, Lucknow had won every game except one which they tied with Howick. In an exhibition game in Lucknow against Ripley on January 14th, Ripley won 4 - 2. Lucknow' marksmen were Allan Eadie from Kerit Alton and Mike Humphrey; Arthur Clark from Glen Raynard. Bantams Win . Two Games The Lucknow Bantams defeated the Howick Bantams at the Howick Community Centre on Thursday, January 6 by a score of 3-1. Scoring for Lucknow were Don- ald Elliott, Stbve MacPherson and Allahllivett with one goal each and one assist going to Allan Rivett and Steve MacPherson. The team went to Listowel on Saturday, January 8 and defeated the Listowel Bantam "B" team by a score of 8-1. Goal scorers for Lucknow were: Paul Hamilton 2, Donald Elliott 2, Barry Elphick 1, Larry MacPherson. 1, Allan Rivett 1, Mike Becker 1. Assists went to Steve MacPherson 2, Allan Rivett 1, Donald Elliott 1, Mike Becker 1, Mike Cowan 1, Paul Hamilton 1. Ripley Juveniles Drop A Pair Teams from the larger towns were a little too much for the Ripley Juveniles on the weekend. Friday night saw an action-packed game against Goderich. Although the score was 2-1 for Ripley at the end of the first period, and tied 4-4 at the end of the second, the Goderich boys had the third, and came out with' a 9-S win. Johnny Elliott and Mike Gallant each scored twice, with Mark Stanley getting a single marker. Mark also made 2 assists, as did Mike Gallant. Brian Coiling and Robert Regier made 1 assist each. Tom Kempton and John Kelly sat out the game Saturday night in Listowel against the A team. the score was 10-4 for Listowel, but unfortunately they did not supply us with our copy of the referee's report, so the statistic's are unavailable. Mr. Broadworth worked as Assistant and Associate Agricultural Repres- entative in Peterborough County' and the regional municipality of Ottawa-Carleton.
