Friends and relatives gathered for an evening of dancing with music by Elliott Carruthers and Clifford Emmerton. During the evening Harold Smith called Jack and Betty to the front of the hall and he and Donald Murray made the presentation of a well-filled purse of money with cards of good wishes. Jack made, a fitting reply. Lunch and a social time was enjoyed to conclude a pleasant evening together. Jack and Betty have resided at Holyrood until. a short time ago when they moved to Kincardine, where they have built a new home. The following is the address. Holyrood, Ontario, December 20,1976. Your home was one where we loved to go, And where, a welcome would wait us we'd always know. Your lads are grown as all boys should, And you'll all be missed at Holyrood. On Sunday her sister, Lorraine Hamilton of Lucknow was a supper guest. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ritchie, Elva and Mel had her cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Vogan of Toronto one day last week. On Christmas Day they spent the day with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wylie of Fordwich. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilkins, Larry, Jack, Janet, Elizabeth and Kenneth spent Christmas Day at the home of her mother, Mrs. William Irwin and Lloyd of Kinloss. Also at the Irwin home was Mrs. Wilkins' aunt, Mrs. Wm. J. Clark and cousins Laura and Mable Campbell, all of Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Gibson, Diane, Glen and Brenda had Christmas Eve dinner for her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Irwin, her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Irwin and uncle Leonard Irwin, all of Lucknow. On Sunday 'his mother, Mrs. Marshall Gibson of Lucknow held the family Christmas dinner in the hall at Pine River. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Cook, Sharon, Michelle, Gerald and Janice spent Christmas Day with their relatives at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cook of Lucknow. On Sunday guests, of Mr. and Mrs. Barry McDonagh, Michael, Wayne and Tracy of Lucknow. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Swan, Linda, Kevin and Margaret spent Christmas Day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordpn Emmerton and family/ of KiKardine. On Sunday Mrs. Swan's grandmother, Mrs. Farrell of Ripley, had the relatives for a meal at the Legion Hall in Ripley. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Ritchie, Jim, Donald and Carol held Christmas Day for her mother, Mrs. Ernest Bogie, her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Bogie, Diane, Paul, Michael and her aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McPhee, all of ' Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ritchie, Frank Riegling and Mark- spent a day recently With her mother, Mrs. Mary MacAuley of Milton. On Christmas Day they celebrated at the home of their daughter Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riegling, Craig, Todd, Lisa and Mark. Other relatives at the same home were Mr. and Mrs. Cameron MacAuley and Mr. and Mrs. Mark MacAuley, Duncan and Angus, all of Ripley. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Ritchie and Bryce, John Ritchie and Kenneth and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Huizinga and Pauline of Auburn spent Christmag Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Ritchie of Lucknow. Larry Wilkins and Jack Wilkins volunteered from Trinity United Church, Ashfield to attend Teen Conference at Five Oaks, Paris, Ontario, the last week of Decem- ber. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Brown, Heather and Lee-Anne of Btantford were dinner guests on Tuesday of this week at the home of her uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ritchie.
