Anne Elliott was their leader. Norma Ramirez was in the nursery. Rev. Lorenzo Ramirez titled his sermon “Glad Discovery”. He said “We like to think of life with no problems. But even in Mary and Joseph’s day it was a time of great problems.” Jospeh was a honour able man and not easy for him to marry a pregnant girl who, accord ing to the custom of the day, should have been stoned to death. But he listened to what God told him and discovered that obedience to God gave him the glad discovery of love for God and for Mary. Mary too, discovered how much Joseph loved her and realized thatGod had chosen a suitable husband for her to care for her very special baby. ’ ’ He conclud ed by saying that God’s plan of salvation for his people may often mean pain and sacrifice but will result in a real joy and purpose for their lives.
