Marg Anderson Marg Anderson, wife of Jim Ander­ son, graduated on November 19 from the Conestoga College at the twentieth convocation [Fall] in Kitchener. Marg received her Exe­ cutive Secretarial Arts Diploma. Ethel Clinton edges Bly th Novice 'A' Blyth Novice A team played catch-up all night with their hosts in Clinton Saturday and in the end came up short for a 4-3 loss. Clinton struck first with a goal by Chad Chipchase at 6:46 of the first but Darryl Bromley drew Blyth even when he scored, assisted by Michael Haggitt. But with two seconds left in the first period, Jon Miller gave Clinton the lead again. Jeff Cowan scored unassisted in the second to tie the score again but Stephen Kingagain gave Clinton the lead with two minutes left in the period. Clinton scored an insurance marker off the stick of Darren Bartliff before Jeff Cowan scored another unassisted goal with 1:16 left to draw Blyth close. They couldn’t tie the score however. Blyth will play Brussels Friday night at 7 p.m. HEALTH ON THE HILL- The ladies of the Ethel Women’s Institute held their Christmas social at the home of president Joan Smith. Barb Grube conducted a few Christmas contests and read a Christmas poem. A few words of Christmas good wishes were given by Huron East President Freda Klassen. Several fattening, scrump­ tious goodies were served by Joan, Barb and helper Nancy. PEOPLE Christmas was celebrated at Bob and Isabelle Bremner’s on Sunday. Those in attendance were Andrew and Doris Bremner of Ethel; Della and Andy McMichael of Listowel; Joan and John Morgan, Gillian and Kristen of Ilderton; Fredand Brenda Phillips of RR 7, Lucknow; Maurice andKatherynNesbitt, Lee, Rae, and Jessica of RR 1, Southwold; Karl and Mary Raszmann and Kevin of RR 1, Monkton; Nolan and Karen Wett- laufer, RR 1, Tavistock. The Hospital Float, titled “Rockin’ Round the Christmas Tree’’, appeared in the Santa Claus paradeand was fashioned by dedicated hospital staff, Hospital Auxiliary and Board Members. Special thanks to Hank Binnendyk, Jack McLIwain and Steve Hildebrand. BACK CARE BLITZ/88 The Physiotherapy Department and Co-op student, Jennifer Hodgins want all hospital staff to know how to make the “Right Moves’ ’. Two videos were made specifically for this special week toaddress thespecial back care needs of both care givers and non care givers in the health care field.
