Phone 887-9487 Belgrave families mark early Christmas Mrs. Dorothy Logan entertained her family on Sunday, December 18 for their Christmas. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Americo Arruda and Michelle of Fergus, Miss Maria Arruda and friend Steven Miller of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Logan Michael, Shawn and Becky of Belgrave, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Logan, Kevin and Trevor of Wyom­ ing. The Anderson Christmas party was held at the home of Mrs. Pat Hunking of Auburn on December 11. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Henderson of Brucefield; Mrs. Murray Walsh, Brad, Sandy and Michael of Blyth; Vaughn Hunking, London; Mr. and Mrs. W. Schreiber, Milton; Kathy and Mark Schreider, Oakville; John and Lynda Schreider, Burlington; Craig and Joanne Schreider, Mississauga; Mr. and Mrs. E. Hartlin, Kingston; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Dawes, Raymond and Eric of Mississauga; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anderson, Schomberg; Judith Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Porter, Bolton; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Anderson, Guelph; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Snodgrasss, Sara of Missis­ sauga; Mrs. Meta Hunking, Lon­ don; Mrs. Clara Black of Campbell- ville and Mrs. Sarah Anderson, Belgrave. Forty-nine Edgar relatives gath­ ered at the W.I. Hall, Belgrave, Saturday, December 10 for their Turkeys prizes at annual Christmas dinner which was catered to by the ladies of the Belgrave W.I. Following the dinner a sing-song of Christmas Carols was enjoyed until Santa arrived at 8 p.m. to help distribute the gifts. After Santa left Court Whist was played by everyone. Relatives attended from Petrolia, Brigden, Toronto, London, Lucknow, Wingham, Blyth and Belgrave. Members and friends of Knox Presbyterian Church, Belgrave, held their Christmas social and pot luck supper on Sunday, December 11. Don Vair entertained with piano selections, Mr. and Mrs. Vair sang a duet. Slides were shown of the Dominion Republic by Mr. and Mrs. Murray Siertsema, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Verburg and Miss Elaine Snell. They were much enjoyed. Kinsmen bingo Belgrave Kinsmen Bingo was held December 1 at 7:30 p.m. Winners of turkeys were Linda Cameron, Jack Shiell, Wilfred Haines, Doug Bruce, and Chester Finnigan. Share-the-Wealth winn- erswereMrs. RossG. Anderson, Brian Machan, Clarence Hanna, Joey Smitt, Mrs. Hazel Ritchie, Allan Dunbar. Door prize winner was Christa Bird. Belgrave W-T holds Christmas party The Women’s Institute held their Christmas party in the Belgrave Hall Thursday, December 15 beginning with a turkey dinner catered toby the ladies of the Evening Unit of the U.C.W. Lucky placemats were won by Miss Mary Isabel Nethery, Mrs. Jim Hunter, Mrs. Gordon McBurney and Leonard James. Mrs. George Johnston accompan- ied at the piano for the carol singing. Progressive euchre was played and the winners were: high lady, 9 tables at Belgrave Nine tables were in play for the final euchre for 1988 which was held in the Women's Institute Hall, Belgrave, December 14. Winnerswere: highlady, Mrs. LoisHart; lowlady, Mrs. Wilfred Caslick; novelty lady, Mrs. Gordon Mrs. John McIntosh; low lady, Mrs. Bert Johnston; high man, Ross Higgins; low man, Albert Cook. euchre Bosman; second high lady, Mrs. Robert Grasby; high man, Ross Taylor; low man, Ron Croskill; novelty man, George Johnston; second high man, Stanley Black.
