Who died of what when were among the tricky questions that had to be answered correctly by the participants in the Bly th United Church’s Senior Teen Club Car Rally held in fog and rain Sunday, an atmosphere the Stadelmann family of Blyth, parents Sheron and John and daughters Jennifer and Rhonda, didn’t seem to mind as they unravelled the mystery at Morris Twp.’s St. Michael’s Cemetery. The annual fun event helps raise funds for club activities. The rally led the eager partici­ pants through parts of Blyth, Morris and East Wawanosh. Even the rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm as the vehicles wended their way through the 41 km. trip. Some completed the journey in as little time as one hour 20 minutes, while others were as long as two hours, 45 minutes. You might wonder how it could take so long to travel 41 km. The reason was what made thea fternoon so entertaining. At different inter­ vals throughout the tour, questions had to be answered. For instance, “Who committed the murder on this street?’’, “Where do you find the well?’’ or “What colour is Temple­ ton’s pig?” To answer the questions you had to survey the surroundings. The answers might be found in a sign, a name on a barn, or an object. There was no limit to the number of people in each vehicle. Jill and Keith Roulston visited on Friday and Saturday with Jill’s sister and her husband, Gay and Gerhard Wiebe in Essex. The two couples attended the Sun Parlour Players’ production on Friday night of “Another Season’s Promise’’ in Leamington.
