AUCTIONEERS: RICHARD AND BURT LOBB 482-7898 Blyth Public School news REMEMBERING by Rhonda Gibbons and ChadHaggltt At nine o’clock on Friday, Novem­ ber 11, grade 5 led a special Remembrance Day Assembly for students and visitors. The students led in Opening Exercises and then they performed in a skit called “Key to Canada.’’ Ten students read short para­ graphs about the poppy, soldiers and war. Then a minute of silence was introduced by the Last Post. The class representatives placed pop­ pies on a large, white wooden cross made and designed by Mr. Hooft- man. The class recited “In Flanders Fields” by John McRae. Mrs. Pat Hulley and Mr. Rudy Hooftman prepared and directed the assembly while Mrs. Shirley Vincent played the piano.
