IN MEMORIAM
HEFFRON. In loving memory of a
dear son and brother, Arthur, who
passed away three years ago,
November 14.
We do not need a special day
To bring you to our minds
The days we do not think of you
Are very hard to find
The heavenly gates were opened
Three years ago that day
With goodbyes left unspoken
You gently slipped away.
You could not say goodbye to us
Perhaps it was just as well
We never could have said goodbye
To a son and brother we loved so well
- Loved and sadly missed by Dad,
Mom, brothers and sisters. 46-lp

REMEMBERING
by Rhonda Gibbons and
ChadHaggltt
At nine o’clock on Friday, Novem
ber 11, grade 5 led a special
Remembrance Day Assembly for
students and visitors.
The students led in Opening
Exercises and then they performed
in a skit called “Key to Canada.’’
Ten students read short para
graphs about the poppy, soldiers
and war. Then a minute of silence
was introduced by the Last Post. The
class representatives placed pop
pies on a large, white wooden cross
made and designed by Mr. Hooft-
man.
The class recited “In Flanders
Fields” by John McRae.
Mrs. Pat Hulley and Mr. Rudy
Hooftman prepared and directed the
assembly while Mrs. Shirley Vincent
played the piano. There was a great
turnout of visitors.
