Seaforth power house in Atoms BY RUSTY BLADES Well, the hockey season is once again upon us as all the local teams are being fine tuned for another winter of puck pleasures. The Blyth Atom rep team played theirfirstgameof the season last Wednesday, October 26 when Sea forth came to town for an exhibition encounter. Seaforth once again proved that they will be a force to be reckoned with this year as they drubbed the home team 9 - 2. Seaforth opened the scoring but Blyth tied the game at 1-1 as Mike Salverda pounced on a loose puck at the edge of the crease after Brian McNichol’s initial shot was stopped by the Seaforth goaltender. It was all downhill for Blyth after that as Seaforth dominated the game with pin point passing. Blyth closed out the scoring with one second left in the game as Jason Rutledge and Ryan Chamney set up Chris Howson for the marker. Hopefully, things will improve this week as Blyth hosts Huron Park at 7:15 on Wednesday, November 2 and then they travel to Brussels on Friday, November 4 at 7:45 p.m. 2- 1988 Plymouth Sundance 4 doors 1988 Ford Tempo 4 door 1988 GMC S-15 pickup 1988 GMC pickup 1986 Chev 1Z> ton pickup 1986 GMC 3/4 ton pickup 1986 Chevette 4 door 1986 Dodge Van 1985 Grand Marquis L.S. 4 door, loaded with options 1985 Chev 1Z>-ton pickup 1984 Chev 1Z>-ton pickup 1983 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham, 4 door 1983 Olds 98 Regency Brougham, 4door, loaded with options 1983 Buick Park Avenue, 4 door Loaded with options 1982 Aries 4 door HAMM’S CAR SALES Blyth 523-4342 Crusaders start season with win The Brussels Crusaders opened the regular season successfully with a well earned 8 to 5 victory over a determined and much improved Milverton squad.
